I had photos of my sons taken in the fall. It was a beautiful session, the colors were amazing and I was thrilled with the photos when I received them. I ordered a canvas from here of them and was appalled when I received it. The canvas colors look NOTHING like the photographer's digital file. I even invited the photographer to my house to compare his image with the canvas and he too, was shocked and frustrated that his work was portrayed so poorly. The entire image had a pink tone to it, and my sons' skin looked orangey/pink.

I contacted customer service and explained the issue and asked for a refund. The first email I got back was cold, but not entirely unfriendly - they directed me to the refund page on their website. I filled out the form, added my photographic evidence of the digital image next to the ugly canvas, and sent it off. I received a snotty and rude email response from them saying that it was *my* fault that the canvas looked bad and that the image was poor and that they printed directly from what I uploaded.

While I don't believe they purposefully tinted my image to look like crap to cause problems, I also certainly don't believe the canvas was printed correctly or that whatever they used to print it wasn't off that day or that some ink needed replacing or something of that nature. I asked for a reprint or my money back again and got yet ANOTHER rude email telling me that it wasn't their fault I uploaded a bad image and that I wouldn't be receiving any refund or replacement product.

I would never, ever use this company again so long as they continue to tell me that my beautiful image was a poor quality one or that I uploaded a pink image and that it wasn't their fault that it looks crappy. I have since printed that image in regular print form from a photo printing service as well as from my own color printer and both of those images look lovely. Canvas People just brushed my problem under the rug and ignored my request and complaint like they do for so many other now-former customers. 

I believe if they had made the effort to fix this, I could have ended up with a nice looking canvas from them. But their lack of desire to fix the problem or offer any solution was ridiculous. Based solely on their outwardly rude and unreasonable finger-pointing attitude toward me, and until my refund request is approved, I will continue to tell everyone I know to never use them. And the best part of this --- I'm a professional photographer myself, so my network of people who would make use their service - clients and colleagues alike - is huge. And I'll be telling that network of people to go elsewhere for their canvas needs.
