Capital Credit Alliance ripoff victims ..new phone number for CCA

I would like to thank everyone who wrote about CCA. Just to see what they had to say, I called the 800 number on the card (1-800-277-7056). I spoke with a lady who would not give her name and I asked her just what this card was for. She rudly explained to me that she would need the information that was on the card and the letter to explain what my "Membership Benifits" were. She could not tell me anything about the company and she must've got tired of my questions and rudly told me to call back when I have the card and the letter in hand then she hung up. Thanks to this site, I did not fall victim to this scam.

I recieved the same card in the mail today. Blue little card with "First National Card" printed at the upper right hand corner and that same phone number (1-800-227-7056). As I called the company I logged on to my computer at the same time to check out the the history of this company.

I told the gentleman that I had never heard of CCA Company before, and he seemed to be suprised that I had never heard of this company before stating that the company had been there for seven years. When I asked what CCA stood for, he couldn't give me a complete answer. When he said that, I immediately told him that I would call him back when I checked out his company. He then replied that this was the only chance that I had to get the best deal and that if I did call back, then I would miss out on a good deal. He also ststed that they were not a bogus company trying to scm you, and that if I was so unsure of the company not to bother calling back.

I am glad that I read up on the stories and comments about this scam. I really appreciate it. To those of you who did get scamed, I do want to apologize to you.

First read everything that comes with any credit card offer. Call the credit company and find out their location. If they are not FDIC insured it is not a federally back credit company, most are backed by SDIC or FDIC.

Plain and simple read the fine print.

I received this letter in the mail, and having never heard of them I was skeptical. I was also skeptical because they had no web site and when I called their number for information it was CONTINUALLY busy. I am glad I read the reports on here of this being a rip off. I knew it was fishy but this Rip off report confirmed it. Thanks!

I got this nice letter offering me a credit line of up to $6500. Of course, I too was leery about it since I couldn't find any information about the company on the internet.

However, they almost got me if it hadn't been for this site here and the reports. I even got to dial the 800 number to activate the call, but it gave me a busy signal which immediately raised red flags.

I was scammed before by another company. Please DO NOT! give your bank information to no one that isn't willing to mail you all the information they tell you on the phone, by mail. And specially if you can't find their website.

I recieved this card today. I too did what most of you did when you recieved this exciting offer. Check out the website. WHAT WEBSITE!! Seeing that there was not a website or any kind of links to this company, I was a little leery. All to say is thank you for this report I came upon. Had it not been for us consumers spreading the word of our own circumstances, I may have fell for this. Doing this will sure help to prevent future victims.

I just went online to reasearch the company and find out what they sold on their website when I found no website, only this rip-off report instead.

Well, the saying is as true today as it ever was. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I received one of these SCAM cards yesterday afternoon. I called the number and was treated quite rudely.

I told the operator I would call back, and then I set about researching the company. Any credit company without a website in 2002 is like a fish without water. They are essential to the next generation, so when I found out there was none, I started to search further.

The BBB and other sources led me to believe that this was a SCAM, not a true offer. Finally, I came across a link to the ripoffreport, and am I ever glad I did. Who in their right mind would give these guys free reign over their personal finances. They could take whatever they want, and then you're out the cash, trying whatever you can to get it back, and since they are in Nevada, hey, who has time to go there.

Please don't fall for it, tear it up immediately, or suffer the hardships of having to close accounts and reopen, etc.

I received a letter from the Capital Credit Alliance this afternoon. I have had problems with my credit in the last 2 yearas, so I was impressed at first that a company was offering me credit with a $6500.00 limit.

Almost so impressed, that I was willing to pay the membership fee and activate the card immediately. However, I was on the computer at the time and curious to see their website first. I feel relieved and grateful for the rip-off report I came across, because it saved me from being scammed. Thank you for posting your story. Sorry for your experience, but you've saved myself and probably several others from a lot of unneccessary anguish.

You know it is true what they say if it's too good to be true than it is. I also received this bogus credit card in the mail and as I was talking to the customer service rep he was talking very fast and was not making much sense at all. He was just concerned with my banking information. That in itself sent off red flags. Which by the way should never be given to anyone, especially to someone over the phone that you do not know and to a company that you have never heard of.

As I started to ask questions about the company and its' history he passed the phone to a so called credit supervisor who was very unprofessional and got angry because I did not give her my banking information either. She stated that she did not need my business but she valued it and began to question if I trusted my bank because she could not access more than the authorized amount. I told her that may be true but how do I know how many people you solicit $199.95 from their bank and never get a catalog and get scammed.

I told her if she wanted my banking information then she would not mind if I researched the company on the internet while I was speaking with her since I was sitting in front of my computer. She quickly said that they did not have a web site and was in a rush to hang up and that's when I said "Sorry but I must decline." Oh and by the way the phone number that I got to activate my card was 1-800-277-7056 or 1 702 734-1212. The address is P.O. Box 46101, Las Vegas, NV 89114-6101.

So to all consumers what ever you do DON'T EVER give your banking information or social security number to anyone that you do not know especially to someone over the phone.
