Capital One in December had my billing statement to be incorrect. It all started in August of 2006. I paid by check and was told they received my June payment late. I was like ok so then in August 2006 I paid a late fee. I paid it. Come September 2006 they said they did not receive my payment. I had to do a stop payment {30.00} and then pay an over the phone payment {8.95} so in October 2006, I changed my due date from the 9th to the 24th in. November the statement with a due date of the 24th. Showing I was past due I called and was told it would be looked at. But I get my December statement showing that I still had a due date of 12/09/06 and with a past due amount. With Late Fees. I called to dispute again and the customer service rep. said they would have a the supervisor call me. I never got a call from them. So I get my statement in January and pay what was on the statement. Thinking this was correct. I get another statement in February with a normal car payment amount. I paid it over the phone and was told it was not received and I had to do another on plus late fees on March 21 2007 so that put me late. But then March I get another statement showing I was 2 months behind. And I called and was told I only owed and amount of 611.78. I paid that on 04/27/07 but Capital One says they did not receive it until May 1st. So guess what I had another late fee. So then I was actually late for April payment and paid it on 05/11/07 since we had taxes due. I get May statement and it showed I owed 2 months. I was so confused by their statements I paid a total of 2 months payments. I thought it was all OK because I called back after all payments posted and was told I had a zero balance. I get a June payment statement and it had I owed 0.00. So I did not make that payment because it had 0.00 I'm thinking maybe they actually made a mistake. But then I get July and it said 0.00 due. I called and the customer service rep. said I was 3 months behind. I said there is no way. I then get upset. I made a regular payment for July by my online banking. I get a letter in the mail a Notice of default and right to cure if I did not make a payment of 0.00 by 08/03/07. I called and she said that I now owed June and July that they just received my payment for May on July 27 2007, I requested for my payment history and it made no since to me. I spoke to a customer service rep. and she stated that I can pay 1/2 of June now and 1/2 later and give her my information to prevent them from taking further action. Because I said I could not pay 3 months. She said I could pay a 35.00 fee to move the 3rd payment to the end. I told her I did not understand this company's statements that I paid what they had on the statements that was owed. She said there system gets confused when you make more than one payment in a month, and that all my payments are going to interest. They call me every 30 min. on Saturday. I have another car loan and have never had this problem with my payments posting on time. I truly don't trust this company with my money. But I can't refinance with another company because Capital One say's I'm 3 months behind and it has dropped my score 48 points.

Capital One Auto repossed my car in October on a balance of 0.00 past due according to the letter they sent me. They have sold the car and have sent the balance to somebody for collection of this debt. I got a call at work today and they got this as soon as I answer that Capital One Auto sent them a claim. I stated she needed to send me something in the mail and she said she had what she needed and there was no need to send me anything in the mail, and wanted to know if I had questions and I said why you don't care because you already have everything and she said your right I don't because you now owe us money......... So I called the number and looked on line and it was with an NCO. Some collection company. But I meet with an attorney on Dec 11th.

I also have Capital One Auto Finance and have not had any problems with them. I aways use their CarPay (phone pay) service and although it costs an extra $9.95 per month, it's worth it. You have to stay on the phone until you receive your confirmation# or the payment has not gone through.. I made this mistake once.
