I received a phone call from a "loan officer" claiming to be a Jeffery Glover stating that I got approved for a $4,500 loan. He told me to check my email because he sent me a document I need to sign & return. I have received loans in the past without a problem so I thought it was legit. He then told me to purchase a My Vanilla prepaid debit card and put $90 on it. He also told me I was eligible for a $10000 grant for the purchase of another My Vanilla prepaid debit card for $230.

I expressed my interest but said I would think about it more after recieving my loan. This was 12/11 he said there may be a delay on the deposit being that it was after 7 pm. He then called me yesterday 12/14, I asked him where my loan money was? He replied "I thought you wanted to apply for the grant?" I agreed. So I sent him the $230 as well which he assured I would get both deposits back at midnight with the grant. Well over an hour still no deposit and out $370.

After researching further I realized several flaws in the loan agreement he sent me. The address says Miami, FL but when googled it comes up Cutler Bay, FL. There were a few mispelled words, reference to the terms of a PA location & it was signed only by first name. I then stumbled across this site & discovered several exact same scam reports. Definitely doing more reseach in the future, lesson learned!

I can't beleive how heartless people can be, especially around the holidays. I plan to contact the My Vanilla Card customer service today to see if I can retrive my stolen money, make a police report and if need be contact my lawyer.
