Capital Vacations ripoff This company used my sons name to say he purchased a product but he is still in boarding school out of town. St. Petersburg Florida

We got a call from this person asking for our son. I proceeded to say he was in school and I was his mother, what did they need. They stated "Oh how old is he?" I thought this was wierd but it was a lady speaking and so i thought it may be a mother to another child of who he is going to school with so i stated his age. Then she proceeded to state that he had purchased a product and that they were offering him a free vacation as a rewards program. I then stated he has no credit card or bank account. they then stated that was i sure? I said yes and asked what it was they thought he had purchased. She said i could call this # 888-824-7675 give my last four didgets of my credit card # and or phone # and they would be able to tell me. Well since my husband and son did purchase a laptop for school for him maybe they had this over the internet as the product under my sons name not my husbands.

so i called, got a recording to enter my phone # to look up the account. It wouldnt take it. then a recording came on to enter the last four didgets of the credit card used to purchase the product an so i entered the one and only one we have and it came up a person answered and stated that they couldnt tell me what was purchased but i would have to write to the address of :696 First Ave. North St. Petersburg Fl. 33701 Attn: Executive Offices

I stated ok, but after calling my son and explaining what happened he said mom, i never purchased anything and i looked up on the internet that there is a scam going on. so i also did and now im afraid they will be able to rip us off. They dont have the other numbers of my credit card. My son is very smart and He is upset that someone would use his name in this also.
