Capitol One Bank Charging fees to my account because of fees they were supposed to remove had not been removed when promised. Richmond Virginia

After contacting customer service on 11/10/07 and speaking to one representative after another for more than one hour, charges that had been assessed to my account (ie: late pymt, over limit, and returned ck.) were supposed to have been removed within 48 hours by an account manager.

After making the payment that we agreed on I found that the charges had not been removed in the 48 hours as promised and therefor caused additional fees to be assessed to my account.

Before making another payment I called them back on 12/8/07 to get it corrected. After spending another hour on the phone with various representitives and explaining in detail what happened, they refused to remove the additional charges and told me I would have to call a senior accounts manager on Monday. They used some very creative math to enable them to add these charges. It is trhe fees that keep the account above the limit not charges that I made and had the fees been removed as promised the additional fees would not have been assessed. I have recorded all conversations with capital one and am now trying to contact the office of the CEO to inform him of their incompetence and lack of service. I have been a customer for almost 20 years and have never been treated so poorly by any company.
