Car hop Lincoln nebraska I purchase a 2002 Ford Taurus on March 21, 2015. When I drove it I told them that there was something wrong with the transmission and they added my complaint to the contract. I have paid 3 times to have my car towed to the shop they preferred, it is currently in the shop again to be looked at. I can't afford to be without a car to go to work so I can pay for this fix or repair daily. All I asked for when I went in to see if I could get a car loan was a reliable vehicle, I wish I had a reliable vehicle. They would let me pick out a vehical, they chose one for me. If I didn't have a friend with a extra car I would have lost my job by now. All I want is for them to fix it right. I have paid every payment on time, the least they could do is fix it and make it right. They make it hard for people to try and better themselves. Now they tell me there is an issues with the engine firing, ugh. It takes at least 3 to 4 days for the warranty company to get back to shop and then it doesn't get fixed. Please, please help make sure this doesn't happen to others. This company is a ripoff. Lincoln Nebraska

I purchase a 2002 Ford Taurus on March 21st 2015 and it has been in the shop several times. When I purchased the car they selected for me, I told them there was something wrong with the transmission. After a couple times to the shop and several phone calls and getting stranded on the hiway, they finally replaced the transmission with a used one. I then got it back and now it will not shift. I got it to the shop that they prefer and they called and said that the problem is now in the engine. I now have to wait once again for carhop warranty to call back and see if they will cover it. They should stand by the cars that they choose for you. If I had chosen a car I would not expect them to cover it but they choose it for me and all I asked for was a reliable vehicle. I want them to stand by it and fix it. If it wasn't for a friend with a extra vehical I would have lost my job by now. This is not fair. I do not want this to happen to anyone else. I have made all my payments on time for this fix or repair daily and I believe they should stand by it and fix it.

One Really Good Question!

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, July 26, 2015

As per YOUR report, they picked out a car for you.  You took the car on a test drive.  During the test drive, YOU noticed a transmission problem.

Why in the world would YOU move forward with the purchase of a car which YOU KNEW had a transmission problem???
