I had a terrible experience with Fred Loya Insurance. We were hit by one of their insured.

After admitting fault at the scene of the wreck. He quickly changed his mind and said we were at fault. I tried for over an hour to reach them on the phone.

After finally answering the phone, the girl put us on hold indefinately. They never came back to the phone. I then hung up and called back. After holding another long period of time, they answered and placed me on hold again, never comming back to the phone.

I was forced to rent my own car, even though it was their job to take care of my rental. When my insurance company found out who we were up against they said we will take care of your car and fight them at a later date. They explained that this would be a standard procedure.

I looked up Fred Loya insurance on line and found some real horror stories. I found a guy that works for them. His email address was published on line and I emailed him directly. He responded like he was really concerned, then they really did nothing.

They said the wreck was our fault, even though their guy hit my wife. Below is the actual email I sent him. I just got reimbursed for my deductable today by my insurance company. You dont get that back when you are at fault. They new they were wrong, they just wait until the last minute to pay their end of the bill.
As of today, I still dont have my rental car fee back. Who is goig to pay for that Fred Loya?

ACTUAL EMAIL>
Tony, My name is Mark I have been reading some very disturbing news about your company on the internet.

I decided to look up Fred Loya Ins on the net today because of the way I was treated by them earlier today. I set on hold for quite some time as well as my wife.

I suggest you have someone from your Houston office call me on Tuesday That is Feb 28th. My wife was hit by one of your policy holders yesterday (MONDAY). After reaching your office we sat on hold more than 40 minutes.

The girl on the phone said she would get back to us. I will be calling my insurance company in the morning and explaining how we were treated today.

I had to get my own company to arrange a rental car, that your company should be paying for.

I am deeply disturbed about the type of information I read on the internet. I have heard your firm advertise on the radio before. I hope this company is not as bad as it sounds on the "rip off" website.

I will be expecting to hear from your firm before 10 a.m . I do not intend to claim my wifes no-fault accident on my insurance. Your company is receiving enough bad press of the internet. Please have some one phone me.

Dear Mr.
First of all, I would like to apologize on behalf of Fred Loya Insurance for any inconvenience you may have suffered. After receiving your e-mail, I have done the following:

I have forwarded the e-mail to our Vice President of Claims and our Claims Director. You should receive a call or e-mail no later than end of business today. We will immediately address the situation in Houston.

If there's anything else we can do for you, please let us know.

Sincerely,

Tommy Cano

Director of Personnel

I used to work there, tommy cano is the hr director who is not even at the stores or the claims offices! he stays in his office, in one city, not visiting the other offices or seeing what is going on. everything he says is all based on hearsay.
why would hr respond to your complaint about the way a claim was handled; is tommy cano a licensed claims adjuster? No he is not! In any normal company a claims supervisor would have addressed the issue.
Remember do not get hit anymore by someone with fred loya insurance! heaven forbid you might be injured. the adjusters are instructed to not offer more than $2500 for your injuries (at the most-bidding starts at $50!) regardless of if you have a broken bone, whiplash, or your face went thru the windshield! management gets bonus' at the end of the year if they keep the bi payout cost down! Yep, this is true! feel free to contact me, i have many more stories!
