On the May 23rd I rented a vehicle for 5 days hours at Tucson , AZ international airport using Hertz but bought it through priceline.com. I returned the car early on 5/25/10 at 4.00pm at another location in Phoenix , AZ. Hertz put a $200 temporary hold on my account which later turned to a one way fee. Also priceline refused to refund the $149.00 I paid or prorate it for the 2 days I had it . I paid with my bank debit card. I contacted the priceline around the night of the 25th and they told me they couldn't refunded because of the agreement which I find outrageous. My employer had me return because they were getting me something else. So I'm out 350 dollars !!Be careful with priceline with their prepay stuff. They don't refund they say I'll be more carefull next time but . I believe this practice is wrong and the fees charged excessive. So I want my money back $350 or what's left after prorating for 2 days

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Contract page!

AUTHOR: RF_X-pcln - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 27, 2010

When doing a "Name Your Own Price" offer for a rental car, customers are asked to enter the location where they will pick up/drop off the car, class of car, dates and times, and the amount they would like to offer. Based on the location and duration of the reservation, Priceline looks for a rental partner willing to accept your offer price.

The last step customers have to go through to book on Priceline is the contract page, asking them to review their selections (pick up/drop off dates/times, location, driver name, and class of vehicle) and the terms and conditions of the offer. If everything is correct, and the customer agrees to the terms they are asked to enter their initials.

The terms and conditions specify that the reservation cant be changed or cancelled, and no refunds are allowed, EVEN IF YOU DONT PICK UP THE CAR AT ALL!

If you dont agree to those conditions, then dont put in your initials! Complaining about the terms of the contract after you have already agreed is not going to get you anywhere, especially after you have already used some or all of the services you contracted for.
