My husband and I needed a new used car so we decided to go to Car Sense.  We test drove a 2005 Honda Pilot and loved it.  We signed all the paperwork that day.  We had to leave the car there, though, because it had just come in and needed to be cleaned and have the dents/scratches taken out.  We told them that it also needed new brakes and they said they would take care of it.

After about a week we went to pick up the car.  We were driving home when we noticed that the car was careening to the right and that the tires were bouncing, like basketballs, when you hit a bump.  Something had happened in that one week when they were supposed to be making it better.  They also said that the brakes did not need to be replaced.

We took it right back and told them about the problems that we had.  When we told them that someone had to have hit something, like a curb, they told us that it wasn't possible. They then kept the car for another week "fixing" the problem.  They replaced 1 shock even though you always replace them in pairs.  When we got it back again and started to drive home the alignment was not fixed nor was the bouncing of the tires.  We took it back again.  They finally somewhat fixed the alignment but the bumping was still there.  They then also told us that the brake pads were very worn and we had warped rotors after telling us a week before that they were fine and did not need to be replaced.

After taking the car back 7 times, in 7 months, the problem still is not fixed.  If anything the problem is getting worse.  We are now seeing some kind of oil on the passenger side door that seems to be coming from the tire well.  We are completely fed up with the mechanics at Car Sense.  They do not seem to know what they are doing.  They tried to tell us that our SUV was rear wheel drive and argued with us when we told them it was front wheel drive, even after we showed them the manual.

Be very careful if you purchase a car from Car Sense!

Problems are all fixed

AUTHOR: TCSmiles84 - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, July 01, 2014

Since I posted the review last year Car Sense has done as much as possible to get these problems fixed.  Ivan, the service manager, has been especially helpful.  He has done everything he has said he would do and more.  Our Honda Pilot is running great now.

Thank you Ivan! We are looking into buying another new/used car in the near future and will definitely be going back to Car Sense.
