Care.com Care dot com Company Misleads when enrolling, REFUSES refunds, and has no quality control of the people on the site. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY- THEY WILL STEAL IT! Internet

3 months into my "subscription" (which is fine-printed as auto-renewed unless cancelled, which I attempted last year over the phone and apparently was not actually cancelled by the "customer service person"), I still had not found a single reliable and trustworthy person to help babysit my children. 

The company also used tricky language and convinced me to spend an additional $80 up front for "deeper background checks", which was not a charge to be allowed deeper background checks- it was for a single deeper background check; something they carefully forgot  to note in their description before I spent the money.  

I have not been able to use this service for an entire 12 month period, have found not one single reliable, non-insulting, safe person to leave my children with; most people I tried to interview could not even be bothered to show up!!  All together, I itried to nterview just shy of two dozen people and only managed to meet with 2 of them!!

The company refuses refunds, even if you don't find anybody in your area who can meet your needs, despite their claim to "background check" all applicants; they offer zero guarantees and if you are overcharged, they really couldn't care less.  

They just charged me for a 2nd year's subscription ($140!!!!) without notice or reminder by email or otherwise and until I threatened legal action, they were not going to refund me the money even on the same date that they initiated the fraudulent transaction.  

I have never been so insulted, felt so used or so angry at a company in my adult life until I tried to find someone to help me find a sitter for my kids.  They claim to help you find care for your children or other loved ones, your pets, etc but then offer absolutely no customer service if what you are seeking does not work out.  They sneakily convince you that their "extra" services are worth spending money on and then reveal that they are useless or one-time use instead of as advertized.

Do not use this company.  Ever.  They are horrible, greedy and atrocious and care absolutely nothing about you as a customer bar getting into your bank account and stealing you blind.
