CARFAX REPORTED A ONE-OWNER CAR I BOUGHT IN JULY MOSTLY BASED ON THIS, THEN LEARNED THE DEALER HAD A MAY REPORT SHOWING 3 OWNERS AND AUCTION SALE. SHORTLY AFTER SUING THEM THEY SHOWED TWO OWNERS (THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND ME), THEN SOON AFTERWARDS THE 3, THEN CURRENT 4 OWNERS MATERIALIZED. THE CAR HAD BEEN TRADED TO CARMAX, WHO AUCTIONED IT SO IT WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEM. THE REAL CAR FACTS WOULD HAVE KEPT ME FROM BUYING THIS CAR. OBJECT OF THIS NOTICE? DON'T RELY ON CARFAX BUT DON'T KNOW IF THE OTHER ONE IS ANY BETTER. DETAILED INSPECTION IS THE ONLY ANSWER, AND TALK TO THE LAST OWNER IF POSSIBLE TO GET SOME IDEA, THAT IS IF THEY KNOW HOW TO TELL THE TRUTH. MANY DON'T.
