About a month ago, I went to a local CARL'S JR. restaurant. To be exact the location was in Reno, NV, 89502. This location was off of S. Virginia st.

Well... when I arrived at the drive-thru I was the only one there (the drive-thru itself), there were some people in the inside, only some. After having made my order I must have waited up to 25 minutes just for them to get me my food!

When I noticed that they were going to finally give me my food.. it seemed as if they had just done the food. So i supposed that the food was atleast warm.

I had ordered 4 whole combos and other separate things, as this was for the whole family. Well just rounding it off... I must have paid about $30.00 or maybe a little more!

When I got home it was to my surprise that the fries were cold, crispy, and kind of like rubber (when you would bite them) of how old they were. The burgers had extremely soft lettuce, and excessive amount of mayonaise, and the bread was hard around the edges!

I didn't go back because it was already pretty late, it was like a 10 minute drive back to the restaurant, and didn't have the time to complaint about anything then. Me and my family didn't even eat the disgusting food!

Well... I finally got a chance a couple days later to call the chain. When I called... I was very upset and let them know how they had me waiting for up to 25 minutes, how the food was horrible, and oh.. one thing I forgot to mention earlier.. that they were not courteous at all!

The guy that was taking my complaint was apologizing up and down.. and out of nowhere he tells me that the location was going to be called up about this situation and that he'd like to send me some coupons for a free burger so I could give them a second chance!

Geee... a free burger! I mean not that I'm asking for them to neccessarily send me coupons for 4 whole combos! But it's just the lack of morals that knowing that their people (their CARL'S JR. staff) ruined a whole family dinner of 4 combos.. all they offer is a coupon for a d**n free burger! That's just a huge lack of morals in my opinion!

But anyways.. I just went ahead and accepted the coupon for one free d**n burger. By the way they told me it would take 7 business days for it to arrive.
I must have waited for about 12 or 15 days (yet no coupon) when I decided to try a different location, thinking that maybe another location had better customer service.

But boy was I wrong! When I arrived at this other location (located off of Kietzke lane in Reno, NV) I pulled up to the drive-thru (once again was the only one there), made my order, and after paying the lazy woman at the window... she ORDERED me to drive to the side of the front entrance assuring me that she'd be right out with my food.

Well.. as I was driving off I could hear all the employees laughing and goofing around. By the way... after having paid that lady.. there was another lady next to her and that other lady was telling her in spanish how to just delete the order as if it had been cancelled.

It's obvious that these employees are taking money after they receive payments and only cancel the orders in the system to keep the money for themselves!

But anyways... after having pulled off to the side of the main entrance.. I waited for about 15 minutes until they decided to come out with my food. As the lazy woman was walking out to give me the food she was looking back and laughing.. as if she had been goofing around the whole time.

Well.. very stupidly from my behalf I didn't check the food to see if it was given to me according to my satisfaction. When I got home, after making a 15 minute drive, I realized most of the fries were extremely hard, chewy, and excessively salty. Only some were warm and fresh out of the oil!

Not to mention that the famous cheeseburger had no special sauce! Well.. about three days later I decided to call the chain again, as I was undecided as far as letting it go was concerned, but decided to speak up about the matter.

By then... it had been about 18 business days.. and yet still had not received my coupon for the free burger! Well I called them up about the whole coupon thing and all about the new problem of the other location.

The guy that was taking my second complaint assured me that the coupons were on their way! They are so full of it.. because by now as I'm typing this in... its probably been a whole month and yet no coupon!

Well I told him that I wanted him to make a note in the complaint that I wanted top management of the franchise or chain to call me back. He assured me that he had already written that note and that within three days someone would get back at me.

It's been over a whole week and no one has gotten back at me! My biggest concern was for that last location I visited, because I was wanting to personally let top mangement know of the fraudulant things that the employees have been doing by taking the money and then puting in the system "canceled order"!

But oh well! If they don't want to help themselves out, and know about people stealing from them, that's their problem!

ALL I CAN SAY TO THE PUBLIC IS:

Don't buy from CARL'S JR. if this is what's going on in your location. Because it does not matter how sympathetic customer service at the chain line will sound, they don't care about your experiences. They only care about making you happy, by making you think that you'll be receiving a coupon for a free burger so you can give them a second chance. In my opinion the chain itself is always a conspiracy when it comes to complaints and lieng to the public!

Well first off Tony... its very ironic that I've posted this complaint about the California location (place where I filed complaints)! It wouldn't surprise me to know that you're from the chain itself!

As far as your insignificant comment about food going cold in 15 minutes.. all I can say is BULL! Because evidentally you don't know how to read. I posted that after the 15 minute drive some of the fries were warm and most were old and crunchy! So go figure what you are- either blind, ignorant, or with the chain!

And NO! I'm not a fat person! What a stereotype! It seems to me that you can't afford fast food and you lash out at people that do!

Oh... and don't ignore other things such as the bad customer service and the fraudulant situations going on there by the employees. Because I'm sure that if you owned a business (which I seriously doubt, by the way of your sarcastic critique about a place being stolen from) you would take it very seriously and fire some people. I mean come on "Brother".. get with it! No one wants to be stolen fom!


Overall.. I see what you are.. you're an ignorant jerk! Yes! An ignorant JERK! You only read about people's bad experiences and use them to try and make people feel bad for expressing themselves. I still wouldn't be surprised if you're from the chain!

By the way! Each is his own! Even if I'm here responding to your rude comment.. you're not gonna see me typing in and telling you what to do! EACH IS HIS OWN! If I wanted to eat in a car right after receiving my food, by all means, I would. But I prefer going back home and eating more comfortaby! Cappish?! Is that too hard to understand.

But anyways.. ignorant jerk.. that's all I've got to say to you. If I see another rebuttal coming from you.. you can believe I won't read on! So go on.. waste your time!


NOW ABOUT NANCY!

Listen Nancy... it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that its not hard to go to a website to contact them. This goes for you too... EACH IS HIS OWN! And I personally like talking to someone and not go online to contact the business. That's just my deal.

Besides its Carl's Jr. we're talking about not the place that serves wraps! But hey! I trully do appreciate your mature way of addressing your consumer suggestion.

People now a days can't just assume its as easy as it was for you in a similar situation. By the way.. if I want to file something and use the word "lazy" I'm protected by the law to do so. Have you ever heard of freedom of speech?


BESIDES- when did I use the word "idiot"?? Just so you know.. I never asked them, especially never "demanded" for them to give me some coupons! Ofcourse not! That would be immoral! Like I stated in my report... it was a surprise to me that they'd even offer those!

So please.. people like Tony and Nancy.. consider the fact that each is his own.. and not everything should be like you think it should be! And please quit being so ignorant.. what about the bad customer service itself?? What about the fact that I caught them stealing from the location?? Why should this be ignored and me attacked??

Just quit this kind of behavior "Tony"... as if that was your real name! Because hopefully you don't go thru the same or atleast similar situation and then insulted by any random person!

At the bottom of the page click on Contact us then fill out the form. It is NOT ricket science. I have found that if I ahve a problem with a store or restaurant I go right to the top and email the corporation. That gets results. And BE NICE in teh email dont use lazy or idiot . We only ahve one CArlys here in the TAcoma Area. Our minimum wage is $8.10 so most of our fast food places ahve adults working for thme and people who can at least count to ten
I did have trouble once with the MeDonalds I usually go to. I like the crispy chicken wraps ( al alwasy order everything plain so they have to make it up fressh) I order 4 of them 2 for em and 2 for my Mom then went shopping and I was going to eat mine while I waited for her. I did not chekc the bag before I left the drive thru and when I finally got to it, much to my surprise there were 4 hamburgers in the bag. I paid for 4 wraps and the recepit said 4 wraps. I was hungary so I ate them anyway.

When I got home I emailed the corporate offices and told them what happened I did not even demand compensation or coupons tec. I did thell them that they need to check their bags a little better and that Ill bet the person behind me that was expecting hambergers and got the wraps was sure surprises. I got a call the next day from corporate and then from the manager of the MeDonlads and they apologized and said to bring in the receipt and they would give me 4 wraps. I never had any problems after that.

Didn't you watch Supersize me? The guy ate Mc-Choke-and-Puke for 30 days straight, and during the filming, he vomits in the parking lot. He got super sized alright.

Sounds to me like your a fat pig that eats fast food all the time, and then bitches about it. First of all if you wait 10-15 minutes, your food will get cold, and so will your fries.

If you weren't in such a hurry maybe park your fat a** in the parking lot and eat the d**n burgers while they are warm? What's wrong with you committing Burger Abuse? Eat the Burger while it is hot and fresh. What is this world coming to with people complaining about the burger being cold after they waited for the thing to get cold?

Please next time just eat the d**n burger!
