Carnival Ruined my honeymoon and they do not respond to complaints.
Here is a copy of the emails I have sent to carnival as I dont want to type it all again.
In short the crew are rude and unhelpful, I recommend to not use their 3rd party honeymoon wishes gift registry, and I recommend not getting stranded on one of their cruise ships as if a problem arrives be prepared to bend over.

The honeymoon registry funship credits did not show up on my account and no matter to whom I complained to I was repeatedly told that there was nothing that they could do. It was meant to be the main form of currency for my trip. I was even told that I had no way to prove that funds were due to me. I was told that no compensation would be made to make up for the inconvience. I spoke to 5-6 guest services reps regarding the issue including guest services manager Zanet Zink, and the extremely rude supervisor ms. Jacobs. I was told the issue would not be resolved until returning to shore after the cruise. I did finally receive a credit of 450.00 due to me. However, by the time I had received the credit 3 days later I had missed out on the excursions I was considering and 2 checks had bounced in my accounts from repeated credit card authorization. One of these checks being my rent check. This issue could have been resolved quickly and easily had a staff member picked up the phone instead of email contact only. For this reason I feel that I was only able to enjoy 2-3 days of the 5 day cruise.

email onboard ship:

Im an onboard the Carnival Fascination right now room U105. I used your honeymoon registry for our wedding registry so we would not have to worry about having enough money on board for drinks and the things that are not free that I need to make my cruise a pleasurable experience. I must say this cruise is certainly not a pleasurable experience. I am furious with Carnival; I am on a ship right now hundreds of miles away from my home on the middle of the ocean. If I could jump of this ship and catch a ride home I most certainly would. The guest services members and their supervisors including Zanet Zink have been extremely unhelpful and in some instances downright rude. They have repeatedly told me that it was not their fault, and that there is nothing that can be done for me. Let me explain the situation, I used your honeymoon wishes site for our gift registry, We received around $500 on our gift registry including our own money so we would have adequate onboard spending, It is our honeymoon after all. I called Carnival and the honeymoon registry 4 times  or more to confirm that the funds would be on our account. Well guess what, there not. I have given the guests services personnel onboard documentation after they laughed in my face and said that I could not prove that they owed me money.
I had to used the expensive internet to get the document it costed me aprx 20.00 just to go online and get the document and print it out. I am on this ship right now, unable to get any drinks gifts or and necessary item to provide needed comfort. My bank account is in the negative because gratuities are being charged to my bank account. We had to change credit cards to my wifes card because guest services kept contacting us because our account kept going into the negative. We added her card, now it seems they took out more money and now our rent check just bounced. If I get evicted over your actions we will definitely be getting a face to face meeting during the court interaction will we get the compensation I feel that I am deserved by this companies incompetence. I want the director of carnival to call this ship immediately and have this matter resolved in a manner that I will compensated to the point of calmness and it is not going to be easy to make me happy after this incident. I expect this to be fixed and compensated immediately.
Thank you for your time,

Yes it was a debit card

AUTHOR: j0vian - (USA)

Yes it was a debit card. I dont use credit cards. NO it was not a last minute gift registry thing. It was instated and planned 6-8 months prior to the cruise. I called to verify that the funds had been transferred to the ship 2 weeks prior to embarking. I also called 4 more times to verify before getting on the ship.

Why did you use your DEBIT card

AUTHOR: Steven - (U.S.A.)

If your rent check bounced becaused of repeated authorizations on your credit card it would not have affected your checking account. The only way this would have happened was if you put your charges on your debit card and listed that card to be used to pay for your cruise.
From what I recall being on this ship a couple of years ago you had the additional financial resources available to you. There is an ATM onboard. Can't say that I would use it with its excessive service charges but it is there if you needed money bad enough. Also you could have used personal checks which the purser could cash for you. You could have used these resources to pay for things until your credit came through.

Did you sign up for this gift registery ahead of time when booking the cruise or was it a last minute suprise type thing?

RE:  CARNIVAL FASCINATION, 06/11/11, U105, 17X8N1, 808019295B
Dear Mr. Murray:
Thank you for getting in touch with us.
Let me first take this opportunity to congratulate you and Tracy on your recent marriage.
Your comments regarding Zanet Zink and Ms. Jacobs were disturbing as this is certainly not, what we would have wished for you.
We thank you for your observations regarding your experience. To continuously improve the cruise experience, we appreciate your pointing out aspects of our onboard service that need attention.  You have my sincere apology for any inconvenience you may have experienced.
After further review, our records show that your $450.00 Honeymoon Registry credit was applied to your onboard account on Monday, 06/13/11 and we have a copy of your final Sail and Sign statement attached for your records.
In regard to the authorization placed against your card account, please note that our brochures, website and ticket contract do state that such holds will be placed against all credit or debit cards presented for Sail & Sign accounts.  Carnival automatically releases these holds once payment has been received in full for all Sail & Sign charges. We sincerely regret any misunderstanding or inconvenience you may have encountered.
We truly value you as a customer, trust you will accept our heartfelt apologies and will once again consider Carnival when making future vacation plans.
Thank you for the opportunity of addressing your concerns, Mr. Murray.  We wish you and Tracy a lifetime of happiness.

Thank you for the statement, Yes It arrived 6/13 after we came back from half moon kay. It was supposed to arrive on 6/11. I am unsatisfied with only a thank you, or an im sorry for ruining my honeymoon. Obviously this matter cannot be resolved through email therefore I will have to extend my distaste over the telephone and then in person.

That stinks.  Mistakes happen and employees can and do make mistakes.  That stuff happens.  Refusing to fix it or do anything to resolve this was unforgivable.  Carnival just went to the bottom of my list when looking for a cruise.

This Is So Pathetic It's Funny

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

This is gonna be great material for Jeff Foxworth or Larry the cable guy. A honeymoon registry for "funships credits"??? So the lucky couple can party, get drunk and go on excursions? Whatever happened to target, wal-mart, dillards, bed, bath and beyond. I know, Items on a bridal registry:  tickets to: the tractor pull, the mud races, the rasslin' matches, the monster truck event, the "coon" calling event, the watermelon seed spittin' contest, a down payment on a mobile home. Lord I could go on forever. I can't even comprehend what was written about repeated credit card authorizations making  the checks bounce, causing the rent to go unpaid. I guess their funship credit account that they had listed on their bridal registry didn't get credited properly and they didn't have any/enough money/ available credit to enjoy themselves. What little money they did have got used, thereby causing their rent check to bounce. Living from paycheck to paycheck while on a cruise. All I can say is this marriage has great potential in the financial department.
