Ordered vertical steel garage from Elephant Structures who passed the order onto Carolina Carports or Carolina Carport - both seem to be the same company. Had to fight for a receipt for deposit. Was assured that building was made specifically to comply with requirements in Western NY re: snow loads. Vertical building was ordered so that snow can slide off roof. Horizontal structure was installed. Weight of snow will cave in roof. Not up to specs.  Not what I ordered. First snow melt-water pouring inside of structure and then freezing everywhere inside including electrical sockets. Company will NOT take responsibility for THEIR clerical error. Say they install 2000 buildings per month. No satisfaction. No customer service. They hang up. They want $1600 to correct their mistake. Building inspector wants building torn down. If this company is as large as they say, it would make sense to fix the problem at no cost to the innocent consumer...but they hang up on you. They will NOT stand behind their guarantee. The INSIST that everything was approved VERBALLY - what kind of operation is this anyway?  Verbally?  Now, after months of complaints, they SUDDENLY say they have signed paperwork from me. Obviously this paperwork was created after months of my complaints since I have never seen it and I never signed for a horizontal building. I was never given the option of sealing the roof either.

DO  NOT USE THESE COMPANIES - you will be sorry. You will be ripped off. They do NOT show up when they say they will.  They lie and misrepresent themselves just to make the sale and then they ignore you. They don't fix their mistakes.  This is a SCAM.  FRAUD.  Probably ILLEGAL actions as well.  BEWARE...find a local contractor to do your work.  

CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ANYONE?  Count me in.
