Carolina Community Actions Carolina Community Actions is suppose to help people but they are liars they ask for everybody information and when they get it they don't help they think of some other information for someon to bring like they want people to bring in money in order for their bill to get paid and the people are asking them for money when they don't have it to pay their bills. I thought the government had issued them a large amount of money to help out people when they don't have it. It looks like they are getting money from the government and trying to get money from the people too. I really think it is unfair. Rock Hill South Carolina

I Camilla Moore am speaking in behalf of my mother. My mother's name is Mary Cornwell and she wasn't able to pay her light bill for this month of May so I call to the Carolina Community Actions and made her an appointment. The Carolina Community Actions gave her an appointment for May 29th 2013 on Wednesday, but she went to Carolina Community Actions on Tuesday of May 28th 2013 on Tuesday to let them know that Duke Power had schedule for disconnect before 5p on Wednesday. The Carolina Community Actions had worked her in for Tuesday of May 28th.

The Carolina Community Actions had told her to bring back a few information papers back the next day so the following day was Wednesday of May 29th 2013. Ms. Mary Cornwell brought everything the Carolina Community Actions said to bring back so she thought that's was all. The Carolina Community Actions got Ms. Mary Cornwell in their office once again this time they told her they were lacking one more piece of information and she needed to fax in not only that piece of information but bring in a $15 money order for a utility pole.

Ok so why all this is being done the Duke Power cuts her lights off and this May 29th 2013 and so now the Carolina Community Actions has told her fax in the last information the same day that the lights goes off. So I Camilla Moore has fax the last piece of information off to Carolina Community Actions the morning of May 30th 2013 and I tells my mother Mary Cornwell to call Carolina Community Actions to see how they handle that situation. My mother Mary Cornwell tells me that this time they say they had all the information that they needed but they still couldn't do it because she needed to bring a $55 money order this time the price have went up for this utility pole.

I thought the Government was giving these help agencies funds to help people not take something from them what they don't have. I think this place need to be investigated because the people that works at the Carolina Community Actions is either pocketing the money that the Government gives or just helping out who they want to help out. I feel like this is unfair because my mother is a senior citizen and she doesn't need to be in the dark. She babysits my children when they come home from school and she has to spend the night in a dark house for 2 nights. I think they need to hire some new people that knows what they are doing and that's a little caring for children, seniors, elders and people that are sick.  Please help we are in desparate need.
