My son parked his truck at the Walmart in Newnan to try and sell it for college money. I'm sure the tow company will say many things to the contrary but this is the real deal. The truck was clearly posted with phone numbers on 3 of the windows. It was sitting with at least a dozen other cars that were for sale. Anyone who knows the area, knows that the parking lot has had cars for sale on it for years. I have had friends sell their cars from the same lot with no problem. The Walmart parking lot, in a way, has sort of been the center of that community for a long time.

Well, I went to go check on it one afternoon and it was gone. Luckily Caroline's had put up nice NEW signs everywhere so that I would know where to retrieve my son's truck. When I asked the man I spoke to on the phone why they didn't give us a courtesy call his response was "That's not our Job" and "We're in business to make money and we can't make money if we're calling everybody to come get their cars". He also said that they would be on the phone all day every day and they didn't have time for that.

So how much time does it take to research ownership through the DMV, print a letter, and mail it to us that you've got our car? I'm sure much longer than a 60 second phone call (when the number is posted on the window). I can certainly understand making the money for towing. Sure. I would have even brought the money up to the lot and paid the tow bill ($125) and he wouldn't have had to do anything. I also explained to him that there is something called COURTESY that people often extend to one another, especially here in the south. He seemed to have never heard the word before. Maybe after reading this he will look it up in the dictionary.

Now I have a $300 bill. And I will pay it because I have no choice.

Are they acting withing their legal limits? Probably.
Will they every earn the reputation of a quality tow company? NO!!!!

Why? Because they have the morals and conscience of a thief who preys on the ignorance of others. You see they can't make money the way most tow companies do, by helping stranded motorists and assisting others in need. The only way they know how to do it is in the dead of night when nobody else is looking!
