I received a promotional certificate for attending a time share meeting. The certificate was through Casablanca Express and promised me a free vacation to Las Vegas. I was familiar with this sort of thing and knew that I would need to pay the tax ($100). This was not so bad, until I was called from a salesperson asking me to upgrade to a variety of promotions because they were going to put me in a crummy motel and would give me a bad airfare times and would not do much for me. If I upgraded for an extra $178, I was told that I would be in a hotel on the strip, would receive multiple free shows (which the salesperson specifically identified), free buffets, and free transportation. I was also told that I would be given $100 cash along with $100 in chips to gamble at a casino. This sounded absurd to me, so I proceeded to have the sales lady explain it to me and she again told me that I would get $100 cash and $100 in chips that I did not even have to use to gamble if I chose. I talked it over with my wife and decided that it would be much more enjoyable to pay an upfront fee and have all the coupons while staying on the strip, plus we would get our money back once we got there. The sad part is, when I got the package with the "free" coupons, I was disappointed that there were not any free coupons. The promised money was not there, but there was a coupon for $100 but it was not redeemable unless you won a jackpot on a promotional slot machine that only accepts the fake money. (In other words, an utter waste they were giving these coupons out in front of the hotel which was the Casino Royale). One of the free Buffets promised was .90 cents off, and none of the shows were free. I did not receive any free buffet coupons, and found better deals given to me in my hotel room provided by the Sahara. I was given some two for one coupons but was, again, offered the same coupon when I went to the box office for the show to pay. I am just annoyed that I was promised five free buffets, and seven free shows and did not receive any of it. I ended up having to pay a lot of extra money and did not get to enjoy the trip as much as I would have liked. The way I see it, I paid an extra $178 dollars to stay at the crappy Sahara which is a mile and a half down the strip, and to possibly get better flight times. I will not be using Casablanca Express ever again as they are obviously out to deceive people to upgrade and upon calling customer service to complain was told that there is nothing to be done because the flights had already been purchased. Problem is, I did not receive my coupons until after they had already purchased the tickets and was unable to receive a refund. They have mastered the art of dishonesty, and are profitting from it. I am ashamed to say that I was duped into such a fraud and have learned my lesson.
