This lady, Casey Dillingham, went out bought a horse and taught it bad lessons.  Now she has made the horse dangerous and wants to blame the horse for the problems she created. 

I have a Free website with over 400 pages of information and over 250 videos on youtube to try and help people that want to help themselves.  Ms. Dillingham writes me in a panic wanting me to fix all her problems with her horse since she has neglected it and trained it to be dangerous. 
This is normally caused by people that just want pets to love them.  So when this lady started telling me how she does not get along with people and she can’t get anyone to help her and no will talk to her, “that should have been my first clue”,  so she asked me to fix all her problems for her and when I could not she got mad.

I used to answer questions for free but after dealing with neurotic women who got themselves in these dangerous situations, I stopped. I now charge $10 since I got tired of wasting my time only to have petty women complain, whine and be rude.  So Ms. Dillingham wasted my time I gave her two different answers about two pages each and since I could solve all her people and horse issues, she did a retraction of her $10.

I stand by that she is a very petty, rude and disturbed person. She complained to Paypal, she complained to me and then a report on this site.  If she put this much effort into her horse, she would not have so many issues and problems.  This is typical horse owners that have other issues, get horses since they can’t avoid or leave their owner and then the horse gets stuck with a person that wants to blame other people for their problems and then the horse has to pay.

Any person like this women, Please listen to and do not write me.  My site and videos are free to
help people, dealing with this nut is not worth $10.  And people wonder why no one answers horse questions.  Meet Ms. Dillingham.

I have read your rebuttal. I have also read of your distress elsewhere on the web on at least two separate forums - one of which you entertained the idea of shutting Mr. Gore's entire website down and expressed, and I quote you directly, "I want this man torched."

When you first e-mailed Mr. Gore, was he aware that this was a hypothetical scenario? Because, again not knowing the entire conversation, it's sounding more as if you were baiting Mr. Gore. In the end, it doesn't really matter -

You donated $10 for an opinion, he gave you one that you didn't like. In my opinion, it's crazy silly to think $10 is going to get you a "professional session", whether it be from Mr. Gore or any other instructor/trainer.

You claim that Mr. Gore has been slandering you all over the internet. The only places I've seen this situation brought up by Mr. Gore is on his own website and on his most recent video which was posted on March 5th. He also filed a counter Rip-Off Report against you, obviously.

You, on the other hand, have made the initial Rip-off Report, complained on at least two separate forums (and entertained the idea of having a popular horse related blog run a post on Mr. Gore), requested a refund through PayPal, and contacted the local police (and possibly even the Travis AFB and the BBB) most, if not all, by March 2nd.

I understand the RR report against you contains personal details and misinformation...
However, re-reading the events as they unfolded elsewhere, a lot of your fire happened BEFORE you became aware of Mr. Gore's counter report.

So, what was it exactly that had you initially upset and what was the resolution you were seeking? Because behind the scenes, it appears that there is a lot more going on than just wanting your $10 back.

And just to be clear - I have no affiliation with Mr. Gore other than I enjoy his videos, his website and that I have donated to him in appreciation of his horse knowledge.

Before anyone replies in Gore's defense, please do take the time to read the rebuttal I (Casey) posted. As I said, the scenario in which I emailed to Gore did not apply to my horse -- this was a scenario in which I was interested in seeing how he would reply. My colt leads beautifully. If this is questioned by anyone, there are eight individuals who will attest to this being fact -- three of which are policemen. On the morning of March 5th, the colt in question was led down a road on a lead in the presence of three civilians and three patrolmen.

The email I sent to Gore did not reflect a personal problem or a problem I had with my horse at the time being, I was curious to see if this man would do as he claims, and answer a question. My question, as was rephrased and asked numerous times within the two emails I sent him, was, "What are your methods for teaching respect." (Because I did rephrase my question and ask it several times throughout the two emails, Gore counted this to be several questions when in fact it was one.)

In fact, here is a direct quote from the second (and last) email I sent to him:

Getting to the point, I would have initially appreciated some tips -- as
a lot of this is, as you hoped not to do, a repeat of what you've said
throughout your site. I did read a lot of it, but I did not find
anything about your particular methods for gaining respect. How do I
gain the respect and love of a foal who already knows he is physically
stronger than I am? I understand it doesn't take physical strength to
commandeer the appreciation of horses, but now he knows he is mightier,
and that in itself is reason to be weary in my company. That gives him a
reason to take charge, and he doesn't want to be a leader, he wants to
be a foal. I am looking for ways in which I can gain his trust on a
lead, and show him that I am strong, and that I am capable of being a herd leader, and that outside of the barn he is safe with me.

I did not receive any advice whatsoever from Gore. In his replies to me, he was not direct, he was crude and unprofessional. I would not have emailed him had I believed that his responses were going to be this way. I believed that, as the two posters in his defense claim, he would be helpful.

At the end of Gore's first email, he says, "You need to read my entire web site from start to finish and watch all my videos, it will help you change your attitude so you learn how horse think and live and act in a herd. "

I'm sorry, I don't have time to read 400+ pages and watch 250+ videos. That's why I emailed him. I was interested in his methods for teaching respect and I did not get an answer. I got numerous statements telling me I was a "bad horse person" and that I had a "bad attitude", but no where in either of his responses did Gore attempt to address my question.

I may have been a little pretentious to ask for the $10 back, but seeing as Gore did not address my question, and all things considering, it was not worth the $10 "donation". (Donations are optional. You do not have to pay to have your question answered if this was in fact a donation.)

Furthermore, I only responded to Gore twice. I sent him the initial email, and replied to him -- both times I felt I was polite and courteous despite his... assertiveness. However, when I initiated the dispute on PayPal requesting the refund for the $10, I immediately received harassing emails from Gore. Not only this, he begins to threaten me (via PayPal and email) that he will post my information freely and as he sees fit.

Name and email, yes, this is fine -- I read this in his "agreement". I don't mind that, really. However, it is in direct violation of Paypal's AND Rip-off Report's policies to post the information of an individual if this was not given with consent. Seeing as Gore took my information from the Paypal transaction and re-posted it in this particular report (along with libelous and false information).

The re-posting of my private information, as taken from the transaction, is not only unprofessional, but is in direct violation of Paypal's "Website Payments Pro and Virtual Terminal Agreement", 3c. Data Usage, "Unless you receive the express consent of your
customer, you may not retain, track, monitor, store or otherwise use
Data beyond the scope of the specific transaction..." as found here: https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=ua/ProVT_full&locale.x=en_US

It is also in violation of Rip-off Report's Terms of Service, 2. Online Conduct, "You will NOT post on ROR any defamatory or illegal material or any

Mr. Gore is very direct in his approach to resolving horse/people problems and anyone who has watched his videos or has put some effort into reading his website will know this. He will never 'be sweet' for the sake of someone's emotions.

I have donated to Mr. Gore and I personally appreciate his advice on horsemanship, as I'm sure many others have. Let's also clarify that I am a woman and do not take offense to his 'woman' remarks.

Before Ms. Dillingham considers making further complaints, I'd like to objectively clarify some things -
Mr. Gore asks for a nominal donation for his personal opinion based on his experiences. He began asking for a donation to answer questions on his website to help feed out the non-sense he was receiving. This simply can not be considered a professional trainer's fee, which I believe Ms. Dillingham was expecting for her $10.

Without having the benefit of reading the full email conversation, I feel Ms. Dillingham was asking for help with a situation that necessitated MORE than an e-mail answer back. As per Mr. Gore's account, he did respond to her. He can not control how she receives his opinion of her situation. In addition, he never claims that his response to queries replace further education, time and effort on part of the horse owner. In fact, he heavily advocates personal effort, patience and spending time with your horse. If Mr. Gore feels that a person is neglecting in these areas, he will let that person know.

In summary, I appreciate Mr. Gore and his effort to better the lives of horses.

Get a Life - this site is a joke as well

This is the last time I am addressing this since this stupid site wants to notify me continuously.

I have a free opinion site, I have free videos, this psycho searched me out, contacted me, asked for my opinion, asked for my advice and then acted like an idiot and spoiled brat when she did not get the answer she wanted.

I did not ask her for anything, I did not request or seek her out and I did not initiate any contact, all of that was done by her.

She complained to me, she complained Paypal, she found this site and made a complaint on me, she emailed me and threatened me she was calling the Sheriff and other authorities. Notice how up front she was when she made the complaint on me, it is listed as Anonymous.

Her time, effort and unreasonable behavior is pathetic to me. If she put this much effort in horse perhaps she would not be seeking out help from others on the internet.

This site is made for people to make BS claims on people and then stirs up the fight with all these comments, rebuttals and responses.

She asked my opinion, got it, did not like it and had a hissy fit.  She needs to move or get help else where.

And anyone that agrees with her stay away from me, my site and don't contact me.

I have used Rick's methods like it or not if you take a few days to simmer down from the response Rick gives you you'll see some of what he's talking about.

I have been on the receiving end of Rick's responses to my questions, yes I got pissed off as well. Put your attitude in check understand your the problem not the horse.

The question you need an answer too is " What did I do to cause this to happen." Not why is my horse doing this. Soon as you understand that then you'll progress.

I have applied his advice and it has worked for me.

Rick charges $10.00 to ask him a question and that answer is "AS IS".

Writing as a close friend of Casey, I can definitely assert that this report is entirely fictional and libelous. Casey is an extremely intelligent and gentle person, and would never abuse her horses or any living thing. She sent me all the correspondence between this man and herself and I must say several things.

Animals, like humans (which are animals, but that's a different point), are all unique. What works with one human, dog, cat, horse, etc. etc. may or may not work with another. All animals respond to stimuli/training/treatment based on their earlier experiences. If an animal was neglected or kept separate from others of its species it will NOT know how to respond to certain stimuli. My dog never learned what bared teeth meant and occasionally got into brief scuffles with other dogs (no dogs were ever hurt, as the dispute was ended immediately). Humans who do not learn to speak when they are young can never speak properly and if similarly neglected will never respond normally to human interaction.

Horses are the same way. Casey's horse was not treated or trained to begin with and was obtained when he was somewhat older. Physiologically speaking, much of his neural connections, if not all, have formed without him receiving much attention from people. It's only natural that he would be harder to train than a young colt who had been handled previously. Casey's problems were understandable and easily fixed, but instead of helping her you belittled her and took ten dollars without doing any good.

Also, I believe it is illegal to disclose personal information about Casey, so you should probably remove that, if not your entire false report.

I contacted this man and gave him the requested $10 to have a question answered in relation to his methods on horse training. His reply was hurtful, unprofessional, and because I was unhappy with his lack of response to my situation I filed a claim on Paypal to request my $10 back. Since I asked for the $10 back, he has been slandering me all over the internet. (I am also now in the process of contacting the BBB about this individual.)

This is the correct story. You can choose to believe me, or a man who (when asked to refund $10 for an unprofessional session), said, "I hope your horse kicks you in the head."

I was given a nine month old colt -- I will not name the individual but I have their contact, and they will undoubtedly attest that yes, I was given the horse. As the colt I was being given had not been gentled, he did not understand the pressure of the lead rope, and didn't want to lead into the barn. Therefore, he was forced into the barn. Nothing else happened to this colt other than he was asked to step into the barn and did not want to, so he was made to do so. This did not hurt the foal, it may have scared him a little, but he was not impaired for life. This is not so unusual. Rick Gore "babies" his horses, anything that might be considered rough or having to use force with your horse is considered abuse. I admit, I don't like using force myself, and that is why I did not take part in this event.

However, when I began to lead train this foal after some weeks, he showed hesitation on a lead but responded well while in the barn. He performed basic maneuvers on the lead and would stand in hand and tied at the slightest pressure from the rope. One day, while leading him outside, he spooked and bolted, jerking the rope out of my hand. When he came back, it was apparent he realized he was strong and so, now every time he walked out of the barn, he had to bolt. Because curiosity got the better of me, I emailed Gore to see what he might say, or suggest, based on his own personal training methods.

My email to Mr. Gore contained this scenario, as I was curious to see what a natural horseman would say -- his inspiration is Pat Parelli and Clinton Anderson, and he probably takes a lot inspiration from their attitudes towards customers as well. This scenario no longer applies to my horse; hence the reason I was interested in what a [i]natural[/i] horseman would say. My colt no longer bolts out of the barn, and is content to lead, he has been lead broken for sometime over a month now. And that is no thanks to Mr. Gore. (If it is of any interest to the reader, my methods for training him to lead consisted largely of pulling him back on himself when he got too far ahead, making sure that if he tried to stay ahead of me then he would always have to do a circle and stand still. Walking off, if he got ahead, he would be told to circle and stand still.)

In Mr. Gore's two responses, he did not once explain his method of training or how to grain respect of a colt. Instead, he belittled me for being a "bad horse person", and saying such things as "that's a bad attitude" and "you're being all wrong". I could have handled such a response if I didn't already know my colt could lead. But again, this did not even touch on my situation. How do I get a colt who wants to bolt to lead out of the barn?

This should've been a fairly easy thing to answer for any horse trainer. But in his second response, which began, "lol, are you kidding me?" he insisted that he answered my question and I was just not wanting to hear I was a bad horse person. Being a bad person must be the answer to any horse problem he is confronted with, because he must not know how to give real advice. After having asked the second time for "more encouraging tips", he says (in summation), no one wants to hear anything negative, if you want encouragement then you should get a counselor or a trainer to babysit you.

After this, I filed a dispute on Paypal requesting a refund, because Rick Gore did not have the professional, polite attitude of a trainer who would genuinely answer your horse problem. I didn't "donate" my $10 to get insulted and flamed.

Immediately after the dispute was filed, I receive a third email from Gore:

"I hope your horse kicks you in the head.

You are really a pathetic bitter little person with deep issues."

I don't think I'm the person with issues. I just wanted my $10 back because you didn't answer my question like you claimed you did.

Please see my own posting regarding Rick Gore and his slandering, harassing attempts to keep his $10.

I have all corresponding emails on hand and will provide them upon request.
