The company does not honor covering shipping costs that they advertise on their website. I sent Cash For Fur Coats my 3/4 length mink jacket purchased in 2008 after they assessed its value at approximately $600 based on pictures I sent them and honest assessment on my part of the coat. The jacket is rarely worn, cleaned every year and in cold storage when not in use. After receiving the garment, they ripped it to pieces, accused me of lying and offered $175 for the jacket. That amount included shipping costs incurred on my part. Apparently I was being ripped off by these shysters. I am not sure if they are terrible assessors of a fur coats value or if they were just trying to rip me off. I requested they send the coat back to me which they did after waiting four weeks to do so. I brought the coat to a local consignment shop, and three weeks later a customer in the same business as Cash for Fur Coats bought the coat for $500. Don't do business with this company. If your have a death wish, look at some of the review sites and DONT rely on their customer testimonials that are likely made up. Just my two cents.

You are dishonest & you know it.

Laurier, when I sent the coat back to you that you represented and sold to me as new (after I had an independent source "a real furrier" evaulate it) which revealed all pelts were dry and it wasn't new.  I was met with silence from you and silence when I took you to small claims court.  You were verbally abusive and told me I was in collusion with the furrier who probably wanted to sell me a coat.  You are a real slice of what a scam artist is about.

I won a judgement against you in Saskatoon, Sk. in the amount of $1178.38.  I intend to pursue this matter if I have to go to the Supreme Court.  People like you should be taken to task.  An there is also a police report entered in Regina for a separate issue against you.  You must think you are omnipotent.  The bucks stop with you Laurier and Andrea and I really don't know how you can sleep at night scamming honest people.  Shame!!  Still paying off Revenue Canada for scamming them?

Dishonest

Cash For Fur Coats continues to push the line "read our customer testimonials".  Sure, rely on the company's selected recommendations even if they are true, which in fact may not be, in deciding to do business with them. That's like asking the blind to lead the blind.  Look to other sources to find out about this business because when you do, you'll think twice.

Many sellers are not honest of the condition their item is actually in.

Many fur coats come to Cash For Fur Coats from hopeful sellers some extremely old only to be evaluated to be nothing more than too old to recycle, pictures don't tell us everything, but physical proof does when working with animal skins that are biodegradable.

For the complete truth of the over 100's of thousands of happy sellers and how they feel working with us, read our testimonial page at http://www.cashforfurcoats.com/testimonials.php not everyone is happy with whatever but if you lie about the condition of your items before selling them why should a potential buyer be at fault to not want to buy it.

Owners are dispicable

100's of thousands of coats?  Really?  That's just as likely as the authenticity of your website testimonials and your feel-good "recycling" marketing angle.  Either you update your website page that was probably developed in 2003 or be honest with potential customers and say you won't assess the value of the coat before you examine it in person and that the company will only reimburse sellers for shipping if you do purchase the item. Making those changes reduce the risk of you accusing someone of lying (which indicates an intent to conceal for an extra $50) and you looking like a bait and switch company.

Sellers have no incentive to lie because Cash for Fur Coats ultimately decides the value of the coat.  It is much more likely for Cash for Fur Coats to lie and screw over the seller because they have the leverage to do so which I am sure they have done many times in the past. Most people don't take the time write negative reviews about a company not because there are so few complaints but because they just don't want to waste any more time thinking about terrible experiences.  A lack of negative reviews for Cash For Fur Coats certainly does not show how happy customers are in dealing the company and more of a reflection of the dollar value of transactions.

Quick to call people liars

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, January 06, 2016

Cash for fur Coats seems not understand that customers who are trying to sell coats may have limited knowledge of the fur coats and are not furriers.  Calling people liars because of honest mistakes is a terrible way to do business.   Treat customers with respect rather than the obnoxious people you are.  Testimonial mean nothing when written by the owners of Cash for Coats.

Do your research when dealing with this company.  They've been reported to the Better Business Bureau and poorly reviewed on various websites.  Moreover, they do not comply with terms set by Paypal. In fact, they abuse Paypal's policies to abuse sellers.

Stop with your excuses and constant accusations.  Your actions say a lot more about you than the people you deal with.  My children know that.  I hope yours do.

Buyer Assumes Seller is Liar from day one

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, January 06, 2016

My Rebuttal Title says it all.

Just reading their response to customer complaints tells you all you need to know about the people you are dealing with.  You are assumed to be a low-life liar from the start. Just because a seller provided the company with what he or she knows about the item they want to sell, and it's not egregiously inaccurate, you should not be treated like a thief over an honest mistake. I would have completely understood their position regarding what I told them when submitting the coat if they were not so rude.

I hope the people running this company don't raise a family with the same ethos used with customers because I'd imagine they would be dysfunctional and friendless.

Horrible people.

Cash for Fur Coats is a bait and switch company

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, January 06, 2016

Their response still doesn't explain why I was accused of lying about the condition of the coat or the entirely inaccurate assessment of the jacket once they received it when another buyer in the same business paid me much more than they offered.  I did not know this buyer, and he had no incentive to give me more than he thought the jacket was worth.

If they provided a correct estimate after viewing pictures emailed to them, I would have never sent them the coat in the first place.  You would think after buying thousands of fur coats over the years that they would have more insight valuing a coat sight unseen or be much more conservative in their initial estimate.  It appears to me that they provide an initial estimate to entice you to send them your coat and then cut the estimate handsomely betting that you will just take what they offer you and not request the coat back because the cost and effort having the coat returned is onerous.

Typical bait and switch company.  I will believe the customer testimonials when I see them.  They were written by the owners of Cash for Fur Coats to act as a ploy.  Any business operating on the web can do that, and many do.

Stay away from Cash for Fur Coats.  They are dishonest and can be coarse if you question their final valuation.
