First off, The FTC has confirmed there is NO government agency with this name and have asked for email forwarding of any message you get from them.

I'm NOT an attorney and this is NOT legal advice, but it worked for me.  First off, regardless of whether the debt is REAL NOR NOT. send a CEASE & DESIST letter. You can find many examples on line.  Send the letter both regular and registered mail so the "company" can dispute receiving it. Secondly You will NOT be arrested or any crimninal charges filed. Besides the fact that it's pretty stupid to put a debtor in jail, where there's NO WAY they can pay up, defaulting on a debt is a civil matter, not criminal.

Document EVERYTHING and tell them you are. They are legally not allowed to lie to you that they are taking any action they can't or don't intend to take.

Consult an FDCPA lawyer in your own state. If they can find an address they will start legal proceedings on your behalf & take & take a percentage of judgement as their fee only if they collect.

Getting an address so Attorney can have them summoned can sometimes be a problem. YOU can lie to them, though, THEY can't lie to YOU. I honestly told them I couldn't find an address and that not only were they trying to collect this but another company is as well (The Lie) and will only work with the one who you can confirm.

Hope this works for you like it did for me. I netted almost 3 grand from the settlement, nothing showed on credit report
