My Iphone 4s died right about time for upgrading. It was under warranty so I got a new recertified refurbished phone, then bought a new phone. Now I have a Verizon recertified phone right out of the box that I don't need. Works, good battery, perfect condition.
Decided to get rid of it, did not search carefully enough on the confusing variations of "cashforiphones" to see sites like this. Their website estimated my phone at $107. Sent me a box, made it very easy.
Then got an email from my "customer service champion" Brian who told me they were giving me $16. The email gave no details on how to stop the deal. Replied to the email and tried to call, then realized that I had been scammed and it was not worth the hours it was going to take.
They paid the $16. This keeps them legal. The estimate is the scam. Bait and switch. They make it almost impossible to stop the deal, if it is possible at all.
Just adding my voice to the crowd that have been ripped off. Don't fall for it.
