After doing some quick research and pricing, CashforiPhones.com seemed to offer me the best value for my relatively new (2 months old) iPhone 5c 16g at $270.  The box to send the phone in came quickly and I sent it out the same day.  Included in the paperwork were instructions to remove the 'find my iphone' feature before sending it to cashforiphones.  I went online and deleted the device from my icloud account and sent the phone in.

I received an email about four days later saying it was received and was in process.  Three days later I was informed by email there was a problem as my 'find my iphone' was still active.  I was asked to provide my apple id and password.  While I didn't entirely trust this request, as I was leaving apple and wouldn't be using it anymore, I emailed it back.  The next day I get an email thanking me for providing the information and that it had been forwarded to the 'techs'.  Three days later I get a duplicate of the first email stating my find my iphone was active and provide my apple id/password.  I cut and paste my email and after confirming the id and password by logging onto icloud, send it to cashforiphones.

Two days go by with no response so I call them.  The representative says they got my email with the id/password and I ask her to confirm it.  Both were completely incorrect with mis-spellings and wrong numbers.  I reconfirm it verbally and ask her to read it back to me.  After correcting her (she was also wrong...) and confirming again, they have it right.  She assures me they will call me the next day.  I confirm my phone number with her (that was also wrong...) and hang up.

Next day, no call.  I call them before close of business and the representative tells me it's in process.  I ask to confirm the id/password.  They have it wrong again, but different errors.  I correct it and ask to confirm my phone number and they still have that wrong too (although different numbers this time as well).  I'm told I will get a call the next afternoon.

No call the next day so I call again.  This representative is quite short with me and unhelpful.  I tell her to escalate the call to management.  She tells me I'll get a call within 24 hours.  Next day (today) I call again in the afternoon and am told management called me the day before- I ask the number dialed and it's the same incorrect number, but it's the first number they had wrong.  However I'm told they're ready to finalize the purchase.  The initial offer was $270, they offer $140.  This is a 2 month old phone with zero wear- no damage, no scratches, no issues.

Do NOT use this company for any reason.  They are slow, full of mistakes, and deceptive.
