So I fell on hard times, took to the internet looking for a quick loan to cover my rent. I get a call from CashNetUSA on March 1 telling me I was approved for a loan up to $5000. They told me in order to get $1200, I needed to go and get a GreenDot MoneyPak, and load it with $284.

I told them I didn't have the money, hint I needed a loan! The loan officer told me to borrow the money and call him back. I did no such thing, recieved a call a few hours later asking why I didn't call back with the GreenDot numbers. I told them I couldn't get the money.

The loan officer then got an attitude with me, and said I wasted his time by lying to him. Since that day they continuously call my phone, never left a message until today. A lady with an Indian accent left me a message saying I now have a lawsuit against me for non-payment on my loan, that I declined.

I called the number back only for an Indian man with a noisy background to tell me the lawsuit is for not accepting the loan and getting the GreenDot card. Upset I asked how can a scam artist sue you for not falling for their game? His response was "See you at the courthouse!" So now I have a fake lawsuit against me for not falling for a scam!

Somebody needs to stop these people, immediately! Playing with peoples lives, harrassing them, and making false claims, to pilfer every penny they can. Bright side I didn't give them a cent, but now they won't leave me alone!

If you get a call from CashNetUSA, with strong Indian accents, telling you to pay upfront with a prepaid card from Walgreen's or anywhere, Watch Out! They're greedy scum lurking for your last dollar!

Hi Chapri, I am a CashNetUSA representative. The person calling you is not associated with CashNetUSA and is a scammer.  CashNetUSA does not require customers to pay up-front fees and does not request or require a GreenDot card. If someone applies with CashNetUSA and is approved for a loan, we deposit the money directly into your account and not through any prepaid cards. Please call our fraud prevention team at 866.254.3581 and tell them what you told us here. Also, if the fraudster calls you back, do not confirm any of your personal details.
