castle payday This company charges nothing but interest for the payments. When I challenged them on it they said Rip off for small loan Louisiana
*Author of original report: I did pay the interest

I needed a quick small loan and found Castle Payday Loans online. I just applied to see if it was as quick as they said. They put the money in my account then started charging me $150 per month interest on a $400 loan. I got suspicious and called them about it. They told me they charge the interest first and principal when all the interest was paid. I quit making payments after I repaid the $400 and they started calling me for more. I quit answering the phone altogether.

I failed to mention that on a loan of $400, I paid $300 interest. Two months of $150 in interest plus the $400 I borrowed. Sorry.

I am not a fan of payday loans at all because in general they are extremely high interest loans that hurt more than help. I have never actually had a payday loan, but from your post it sounds like you only paid back $400 total and that is what you borrowed from the lender. Any lender is going to charge interest. The amount of repayment would be in your written agreement with the lender. There are no interest free payday loans.
What did you agree to repay when you signed the contract? Is that the amount you paid back? The way to stop the calls is to complete the contract you agreed to when you borrowed the money. The longer you delay repayment, the more it will cost you because interest is charged on a per diem basis. When you don't pay on time, then default penalties are applied to your loan (higher interest plus late fees and collection fees). You could easily find yourself owing many times the amount you borrowed in a short period of time if you continue to ignore the debt.
Take charge of your finances. Don't hide from them any more, look up your contract and get it paid so you never have to worry about it again.
