Cat Pumps Premium pumps and prices, inferior warranty and service Minneapolis Minnesota

I bought a pump for the carwash from Cat pumps, they sent me a new one. After the install of the pump, it started to destroy the O-rings on the valves about once a month. To replace these is about three to four hundred dollars.
As you can imagine, this was getting costly, so I contacted the service dealer for Cat in my area.
He sent the pump back to Cat, who found the issue was indeed a manufacturers defect in the head. Cat agreed to repair/replace the head. They replaces the head, not a problem there, but when I recieved the pump back, they sent it in pieces! They replaced the head, but not the valves, O-rings, etc, that make up the innards of the head.
They sent back the pump with all the innards removed, pistons, valves, all seals etc, thrown in a plastic bag and taped shut. What good are the old valves and seals to me, since they were destroyed by the old head that had a manufacturers defect? Seriously?
I am not a pump repair tech, so it cost me a service call, plus the techs time, plus another 300+ dollars for new valves and seals, plus another 200+ dollars for the cost of new piston and water seals. Can someone please explain why this is considered a warranty? The pump was barely 6 months old!
I have contacted the warranty service tech from Cat pumps, and I am at this time waiting for a reply.
I just can not see paying a premium price for inferior service. If they decide to answer my questions, I will update this post at that time.
