I have been a victim of harassment and slamming by CBCS. This started in the late 1999-2000. I received a bill for $681.74. I didn't believe it belonged to me and tried to fight against it. After being harassed by CBCS, I paid it to save my good credit standing. I have records to prove it is paid and mailed it to them years ago. However, I'am still being harassed. Could you please help me resolve this matter?

Dear Gail:

Do you have proof of payment? Was it the same bill you paid (same account number)? Why do you say you're being harassed? Being contacted regarding a bill you owe is not harassment. Therefore you need to provide them with proof of payment or pay the bill if it's yours. Have a nice day.
