CBT Direct - SmartCertify ripoff Do Not Purchase Medical Coding Course from CBT Direct CLEARWATER Florida

I am writing this report so that future Medical Coding students will not be misled and lied to by CBT Direct like I have been.

First, before I purchased the course, I was told that it would be VERY easy for me to get a job as a Medical Coder because there is such a shortage of them. Well, the shortage part is true, but the "easy to get a job" part is not. A coding job is NOT easy to get at all because everyone wants coders that have at least 2 to 3 years of experience. I have searched for and applied for every job I could find, but as a new coder with no experience (even with a coding certification from AHIMA), I still have no coding job.

Second, before I purchased the course, I said that I was looking for a career that would allow me to work from home due to medical issues that I have. Again I was told that as a Medical Coder this would be VERY easy for me. This is also not true because new coders are not easily hired AND most coders do NOT work from home. If they do, it's only after many years of experience.

This is how my situation stands today: I have spent $2,400 and eight months of my time on the course and the exam, I have turned down other job opportunities during this time, and I have no coding job or any hope of getting one in the near future. All of this so that CBT Direct could sell a Medical Coding course. Now, because I am still unemployed, out of time and out of money, I have to start my job search all over again in a totally different direction.

If anyone can help me, please let me know. I am willing to participate in a class-action suit if anyone can get it going.
