I have been interested in learning about computers for some time because of job opportunities if you have the right credentials. This is what prompted my interest in taking an e-learning course or courses to get the right credentials.
I had received calls from CBT Direct for a couple of years before I enrolled in the A+ course which was suggested that I take to get started. When I got a desktop computer, I again received a call from this company and they convinced me that I should take this course which was only $1000. So I went ahead and financed it with Care Credit and GE Money Bankt o make payments on until paid off.
I started on the first part of the A+ course and finally felt comfident enough to sign up to take the first part in an attempt to receive the certification. But I failed the test. I called CBT to express my frustration in studying for year and not being able to pass the exam.
They called me back and offered me to have access to their library for another $600 and I accepted putting it on another credit card because I couldn't refinance with the same company. So I put it on my Discover Card.
I was never aware that this might be some kind of scam or I woud never have enrolled.

I have been interested in learning about computers for some time because I wanted to open the door to new employment opportunities by getting the right credentials. This is what prompted me to take an e-learning course or courses to receive the right credentials. I had been getting calls from CBT Direct for a couple of years before I enrolled in one of their courses and the person I talked to suggested I start with A+, but at that time I didn't have a compurter. So when I got a desktop computer, I received another unsolicited call from them and they convinced me that I should go ahead and take the A+ course which would only cost $1000. So I went in debt and financed it with Care Credit and GE Money Bank where I would make payments until the debt was paid. So I started on the first part of the A+ course and finally felt confident enough to sign and take the first of two tests to received the certification. However, I failed my first attempt to pass the timed exam. I called CBT expressing my frustration about having studied for a year and not able to pass. They called me back and offered me access to their complete library in order to continue my studies so I could complete my goal of receiving the A+ certification. They offered me the whole package for only $600 and I reluctantly accepted by putting myself in debt again, but I had to finance it with a credit card. I decided to put it on my Chase Visa Bank Card. I was never aware that this might be some kind of scam or deception of any kind or I would never have enrolled to begin with.
