We found that CCBill.com has charged $123.52 to my credit card number, using my husband's name and an email address of to access a porn site:

The customer reps were rude, insisting that since they had our security code, the charges were made by my husband and he set up the account. They refused to refund us. We canceled our credit card, notified our creditors, filed a complaint with the FTC, the Better Business Bureau of AZ and filed a complaint with our credit card company. Further calls to CCBill.com were just as pointless.

They are the most rude customer reps we have ever dealt with. We will not give up on this matter since they are committing fraud and identity theft. Whoever this dbfsich@darkside.com is, I hope they rot in hell.

Not a rip off, and not always rude!

AUTHOR: Michael Allwine - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 16, 2010

As a credit card user I have dealt with CCbill when my credit card was used to purchase access to a porn site.  I called gave them the information they asked for and was polite.  They in return were polite, and took care of my issue with very few questions asked.  In my case the address did not match nor did the IP Address it was signed up from as well as the e-mail.  The only reason it was accepted by their system was because they used my zip code and my CVV2 number, and my name.  I had a great experience dealing with them.  I can understand how they can seem unethical but if the information matches how can you prove that you did not purchase the subscription?  By word alone?  Often time if someone steals your info they have a lot of the pertinent information.  Your bank will ask you to contact the company in question because for them to do an investigation hurts a company that provides, not just porn site billing but other forms of billing in this case, and causes the bank  to have to work for you.  I don't doubt that you had a bad experience but the company is not out to rip you off.  They are protecting themselves with their terms and conditions and their Privacy policy.  As those of you that have had a problem realize their are some shady people out there, and they only want your money.  Everyone has to use some sort of cover your rear tactic.

Have used CCbill.com for years, never a problem, however I see how they could rip customers off if they weren't careful

AUTHOR: David - (U.S.A.)

As I've said I've never had a problem with them. Always cancelled my recurring charges before the last 7 days of the month. (I always cancelled immediately or on the 20th of the month to be safe).

I read the terms and conditions saw the problems in advance. Basically CCbill is slightly unethical. They're hoping you are too horny, too lazy, or too busy to read the fine print. They are definitely taking advantage by not putting out their policy directly in the sunlight so there is no confusion.

They're ultimately hoping you don't check your online banking often enough, forget about the subscription, etc.

I wouldn't call them a scam necessarily, but they are not ethical business men and women.

Additionally, I can see them not being helpful if there is a problem. They have so many customers I doubt they would put in effort in helping disgruntled ones. They are one of the few more trustworthy online subscription middle-men, and realize people will still use them no matter what.

CCBill.com Sucks

AUTHOR: Pat - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 23, 2005

CCBill.com used our credit card information and the email of someone we don't know to charge access to a porn site. We don't know anyone using darkside.com as an ISP email provider. We have never accessed a "Black" sex site nor would ever access a porn site we would have to pay to access. We don't know how they got our security code from the back of my husband's credit card unless it was the very few times he actually handed his card to someone to verify a signature.
So, beware of some idiot using your card and charging without your permission. File a complaint with the FTC, the Better Business Bureau, and notify the three major credit agencies to have a security flag on your credit history. Obtain a copy of your credit report. Never, ever carry your social security card with you, and never, ever, ever trust CCBill.com. They are a bunch of slimeballs.
