This is a failing startup company with no money and it is running out. Over a 6 month span  there have been several instances where the owner cannot make payroll and we are not getting paid. Ebony Edwards is the HR president is immature, backbiting and unprofessional.

The first time, we didn’t get paid for over 6 weeks. For the last three months, we’ve been only getting half-pay for a number of weeks, and are still owed several thousand dollars for the missing half. This week, we simply didn’t get paid at all and then halfd the staff got laid off!

Despite this, we are expected to come into work and keep working “business as usual,” after losing my title and getting a paycuit and are often expected to put in overtime too. The CEO keeps promising that the money is coming from investors and we will be rewarded for our commitment, but half of us were rewarded with a layoff and the other 60% paycuts!. Most normal businesses would do a temporary layoff if they could no longer afford their staff, but this place seems to think employees should be able to work for free.

This is not legal. Most states have laws that spell out how frequently you must be paid and how long that pay must be issued after the pay period ends. There are hefty fines, and often even jail time, for violating these laws. Some states also require a delinquent employer to pay employees a “waiting time penalty,”  I think I am going to sue.

C&D Corp Services- Financial Problems

AUTHOR: Real Estate Developer - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, November 24, 2017

As a resident of Washington, DC and an active real estate developer I have heard about the recent troubles surrounding C&D Corp Services. I am very skeptical of their business practices and was disappointed to see the allegations about employees not being paid.

If the employees are still owed payment maybe this post below by an employment attorney in PA, Scott Ivan Fegley might help.

Your employer is required to pay you for your work on your regularly scheduled pay dates. If he fails to do so, you have a claim under Pennsylvania's Wage Payment & Collection Law. If you have to go to court and you win, the employer can be held responsible not only for your wages, but for a 25% penalty and your attorney fees and expenses as well. In many cases, a letter to the employer from an attorney advising the employer of a possible claim under the Wage Payment & Collection Law will be enough motivation for the employer to pay up. If not, find a qualified employment lawyer. You are entitled to your pay. This report came from AVVO.COM

This business is completely unethical, they tried to withhold our pay until we agreed to paycuts and then pay us out at a lower rate which is illegal. CD corp services failed to pay us and then witheld our checks, refused to return emails about our missing paychecks. Their failed business plan or lack therof cost people their jobs. Ebony Edwards is over the HR department and is the most unprofessional person in the company. These are arrogenat people who do not care about anyone but themselves and refuse to treat people with dignity. C+D corp was Established in 2000, C&D Corp Services, Inc is a privately held company that has a virtual staff as well as a few virtual locations which makes it hard to get ahold of the people in charge. One day the check is in the mail, the next day they want you to sign a salary reduction and backdate it. I don't know what investors gave money to this failing business. They started divisions from their gut with no sound financial basis and also did not plan for the amount of employees they hired. And they keep hiring people. The executive staff Carl McNeill, Tolie Miller, Ebony Edwards and Lionel Rhodes are unprofessional. Do not waste your time going to work here. You may never get paid and they will treat you like a piece of garbage. Good luck!
