My boyfriend worked for this company for 6 1/2 years. In October, he was ill and was to the doctor twice in a week. When he took in his doctor's slips, he was accused of altering them. And they wanted to dock his pay for not working the required 24 hours in a week. He walked out. They screwed him over on getting unemployment and in getting any other job available to him by giving him bad references. He finally had to give up and beg for his job back as we have a big family to support and I don't make enough to support us on my own.

He fought and fought to get his job back. After he was there for 3 weeks, the abuse started again. So once again he was forced to walk out. And once again I am sure he will have problems finding a job. Something needs to be done about this company and about this one manager in particular!

Ok speech is a free thing now so im just going to go ahead and say what i think about Millennium Teleservices, the building is verry nice, the equipment is crap! because of the equipment i almost got fired before all of the managers there are dicks accept cameron. each one there looks for reasons to fire employees. let me ask you something if someone was screaming in your ear while you were trying to talk on the phone would you be able to talk?? or for that matter sale something?? i mean i was one of the top sellers but from none of the managers accept one did i get one ounce of respect from and that was cameron... i was fired because one of the managers had it out for me after me and ken got into it,.. because i was looking for a headset like stephany told me to do ken thought i was just running around talking and instead of asking me what i was doing he screams at me and tells me to leave and after i told him why i was walking around they wrote me up... after that conflict it seemed like all of the managers were out to get me.. they found anything they could to add up to make it look as if i was a bad person untell i got fired... another thing i know for sure is that place is sworming with drugs... and plus some of the employees that are working there are perverted and nasty such as one of the girls that i was working with would moon people as they walked out of the restroom... so if any of the managers from Millennium Teleservices paintsville ky read this just to let you know you fire for the wrong reasons you cant fire people because you dont like them you need to get real with your joband stop being f**king d**k heads and f**king with peoples lifes who are trying to make an honest liveing... i have said nothing that isent true because even tho speech is free it still scares me to speak my mind because some people have more power than others and can have you fired or put away but i have nothing to lie about you should just be fair

I am a 20 year old manager at the Paintsville, KY office. I have posted rebuttals on a previous thread but thought it necessary to post one on this too.

As for the young lady's boyfriend and his doctor slips, well he probably did alter them. Just a sad truth. And if he didn't walk out he probably would have kept his job! And if one manager is harassing him or something of that sort then he reports it to the call center manager and it gets taken care of.

And the other woman that says we bellow SALE SALE, well of course we do. If you don't make sales then nobody makes any money. You want that paycheck right? You want a pay raise right? Well then work your a*s off and you will get it. She must have misunderstood the manager when she thought they told her they only hire men for that. They mostly hire only men because they sound more like police officers and can sale the program better. But I have seen several women do fundraising rather well. And she says that people have pay taken away if they don't perform. If you don't perform then you don't deserve the pay! It's that simple! Telemarketing is a performance based job. If you don't perform you don't keep the job.

Then this other lady says they got 3 day suspensions for not performing. SEE ABOVE. You must perform to keep the job. And just so you know, you get that suspension so the corporate office can review your file to decide if you still deserve employment with the company. Thats probably why they got fired when they go back. And the low performance for the week doesn't take into account the timefor suspension. If you aren't working then that time isn't taken into your weekly average.

Several of you need to work on your math and grammar skills.

My experiences at Millenium

I worked at the Parkersburg, WV office for about 8 months. I saw drugs on a daily basis and managers dating minor girls. The people doing the drugs did them right out in the open. Many would sit in their cars and smoke pot. Police would drive through and never do anything about it.

The call center manager who was 24 at the time was always trying to pick up the young girls. At one time he was sitting talking to this girl and I looked at him and said "You can't talk to her. She is over 18". People around me were shocked I had the guts to say to his face what they all talked about behind his back.

When I worked there we had to work split shifts and never got our 40 hours a week. They didn't give us more money for making 2 trips to work a day just to get at least our 24 hours.

I saw many people get 3 day suspensions for not performing. And then the day they returned were fired for low performance for the week. How were they suppose to perform if they were not able to work?

The men also made at least $1 an hour more than the women. We did the same job, took the same abuse for less money.

After reading all of these stories about CDG in other cities I felt it necessary to let everyone know about the Providence office. Although the managers A. Tyson and D Laughry and the now departed K Ratliff were constantly using drugs and belittleing people on a daily basis and of course the arrogance when Millinium switched over to fundraising and they made it known that there gonna put more pressure on the female callers simply to get rid of them or make them quit. Now not everything is bad...they do help you when you need it (although talkin you down writing you up then showing you how to do it is I guess standered procedure) And of course call the grivence line all you want it will just get you fired quicker and dont tell on anyone cuz that will get you hurt.....anyways just figured i would add my comments and i guess continue working as long as no one finds out i wrote this.

I have been employed by Millenium Telecommuncations in Parkersburg WV for 1 month now. I have never seen a place run so badly. They are not fair to their employees. They are constantly breathing down you back. SELL!!! SELL!!!

I have been in the telemarketing field for over 12 years now. I have management experience as well and I am ashamed to be affiliated with this company on Division St. in PKBG.

They have shown discrimination with me already, I felt too pressured doing their Pitney Bowes sales calls to businessess (which by the way they are doing illegally), so I ask to be switched over to the next cubicles to call for the Troopers for CDG and I was told no they only hire men for this part of the call center. I COULDN'T BELIEVE ME EARS!!!!!!!!!! This is the now 2004 and I am still be discriminated against for being a woman. To top it off the girl that told me they wouldn't hire me "Amy" has now been demoted from mgmt back to the phones!!! I made my views well heard in this center that it was pure discrimination!! But who are they going to believe I am just a little person with no lawyers to back me up. ITS A DISGRACE!!

Before I finish my comments, I just want to add that the company Pitney Bowes has no idea what Mellinium Teleservices, is doing to their business, we are told my managers when the corporate office will be monitoring our calls so we can get out that special "monitoring scripts" while we are being listened too. Yet as soon as the monitoring are over we go back to using the script that CDG and Mellinium have "fixed up for us"

This outrage has to come to an end!!! I hate myself for going to work everyday their. Unfortunately my finances won't allow me to set home until I find another job. My husband works but it really takes 2 people expecially with the job market today.

They (CDG/MELLINIUM/CIVIC DEVELOPMENT GROUP) know exactly what they are doing. The employees are treated unfairly,discriminated against,and even have their pay taken away from them, as management feels necessary, if we aren't producing well enough for them.

If you ever see a call center with any of these names affiliated with it. RUN RUN FAST!!!!! Please don't work for this company. They will run your self-esteem into the ground. I am in tears everyday at this place.
