I have been having trouble with my computer. So when I saw the commercial on t.v., I thought to myself why not. Guaranteed Consumer Funds seemed to be a great deal.
The fact that I could buy a computer and receive a gps and an mp3 player at no extra cost was unbelievable. I decided to call the toll free number to see what it was all about. The lady I spoke to seemed to be very prfessional and patient with me.
I provided all the information she had asked for including my ssn. She, in turn, provided me with a web address. But, when I went on to the web site given to me, I found that there were no indications that the web site was secure. That is when I began to get concerned.
So I tried looking them up with the BBB, but they were not listed as the had claimed. Finally I googled them and ran across this site indicating that it is a ripoff. As soon as I saw the information I called them to cancel my order. Unfortunately, I have already given them my account number etc.
Now the only thing I can do is pray that the do not debit anything from my account.

James Gibson from CEC calls me on October 21st 2008 and informs me that they do not feel comfortable with my emails because I kept mentioning getting a lawyer, due to all the promises of the delivery and I have made 16 payments of $59.98 plus an activation fee of $99.00. I started this process in March 2008, trusting this company that I would receive this computer after the 5 consecutive payments as they advertise. This is False Advertisement and I will continue with filing claims with the Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission. You all must do the same please, we must stop them. He then canceled my account, because I kept telling them I would get a lawyer and that I filed a complaint with the BBB. This company preys on low income and fixed income individuals that my have to breech the contract, they don't deliver any merchandise in hope that you will get so frustrated and cancel. And in this contract you will lose your money because you canceled, This is how they get you, Now they can keep all your money. I am moving forward, I did not cancel they did! there has to be a law against this and I will not stop until this is made right. I have contacted channel 3 in California and will continue on with, David Horowitz fightback.com and Kurtis Ming who helps with consumer problems on channel 13 here in California. Please contact me if you all want to get a class action suite going on Guaranteed Consumer Funding, I am looking for a Lawyer now that will help us. Good luck to you all Fight Back! Cheryl
