Cedarcide Best Yet product

AUTHOR: Jane - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 11, 2018

I think Cedarcide Best Yet product is great! I used it for my home, and it was safe enough to use on my cats and dogs. I used it once a year to keep fleas off my cats and dogs. It also took care of bed bugs that my husband had brought home after traveling and staying in a hotel. Not being able to afford Terminex I resorted to Cedarcide. I no longer have an issue with bugs here. You have to follow instructions. Not only that, one of my cats was allergic to the flea bites and had sores. It cleared it up immediately. It also will cure ear mites in dogs. So, after reading the previous complaint of Cedarcide, I had to make a rebuttal. The product really worked here. Im not associated in any way with the company. Im just a customer who loves the product.

cedarcide - great

AUTHOR: Karen - ()

POSTED: Saturday, November 16, 2013

I love this stuff.  Have used it for years against fleas (mainly), ants, box elder bugs, spiders, etc. And you didn't have to spend that much money to try it. They sell smaller spray bottles. And I don't believe it says it will kill ticks. It is used to repel them, if you keep the animal sprayed. It already has its head protected. And if you do kill it then, you have to pull it out.

When using it for fleas on my Min Pin, I put him in the laundry tub and just sprayed him until covered all over. They dropped dead on contact! No poisonious chemicals or harsh smell. Best product I have ever used for fleas. Could spray the entire house, with no staining on anything!!

Stopped charpenter ants in their tracks as they were carring eggs up a post from the woods below our deck to upper deck. They hung on the post dead, and never saw any more activity after spraying. Were amazed!

I find, and the directions state, you need to spray directly on the insects to shut down their breathing. And it does take some dilligence sometimes, but I don't like killing everybody else while trying to eradicate some insects!!

Cedarcide product worked great for me

AUTHOR: anonymous - ()

POSTED: Monday, August 12, 2013

I am a consumer, and have used several products:  fogger; best yet, PCO and granules. I used these prducts at three different types of properties: city, acreage; and rural.  Each locale having its unique infestation problems.  In each and every instance (brown ants, fire ants, spiders, roaches, boxelders), these products worked well.  However, I must add that wherever I reside, I keep it clean both inside my home and on the outside.  I reapply ever few weeks even when I do not see any problems.  For instance, the rural property had this reoccurring infestation of boxelder, and the Cedarcide did not seem to be working.  This particular bug liked to sit in the sun.  The back of my house faced the sun and would be covered with new ones the next day.  I discovered that the abanonded lot next to my property was covered in dead leaves and debris.  After the property was cleaned and sprayed, I no longer had a problem.  On the acreage property, there was a large barn and it was infestested with hundreds of black widow spiders.  We got all the spiders cleaned out, and fogged the barn.  It worked here too in keeping the spider population dow.  In the the other home located in the city in a desert community, were what is called desert roaches, and I used Cedarcide, and had good luck as well.  However, I had to get the church next door to me to clean up debris next to my house where I would see these roaches crawling from.  Yes, Cedarcide is a little expensive, but I think it is worth it because it is more on the natural side, and I try to use products that do not harm the environment or myself.  Ii

In my long-time experience with Cedercide...

AUTHOR: babyboomer1001 - ()

POSTED: Saturday, March 23, 2013

I cannot comment on the "false claims" accusations because that would take reading on my part and I'm about to go to bed.  However, I will say, in my opinion, that Cedarcide is not a poison that will eradicate all the bugs that pester you and your pets.  Rather, it has an objectionalbe scent to bugs (or so they say) that kills the bugs or some bugs (not sure how many). You have to treat the bedding, the threshold of the doors where pets come and go, and the pet and you need to use it regularly.  Okay, so my feet and ankles are flea bitten and so is the rear end of one of my dogs but, to a lesser extent when I spray him regularly.  I think I just haven't used enough of the stuff or maybe we have a particularly bad case of fleas to completely eradicate them. I love the smell of cedar so, perhaps, I am being too kind to the company.  On the other hand, it is possible that our flea problem would be worse if we didn't have cedarcide to help.  I don't want to poison our entire house and other indoor pets with bug bombs.  However, I do appreciate the FTC getting involved.  Cedarcide has made claims and, as such, they need mbe able to prove that their claims are substantiated.  Otherwise, they have no business making unsubstantiated claims.  Since we have used the produce since 2007, I will be watching this case.  If there is proof that Cedarcide helps in flea control, which I believe it does, I will keep on buying it.  If it is proven that they bs-ed the public for profit, I won't waste more money. However, I don't intend to badmouth the company prematurely or wrongly.  I know it has helped my male dog who has a bad allergy to flea bites and I believe spraying his behind regularly and the tail and elsewhere, has helped him. Seems like my feet and ankles need more help, although I haven't tried Cedarcide on myself - my own fault.

I've killed bed bugs

AUTHOR: Brandon J. Van Every - ()

POSTED: Saturday, March 23, 2013

I had a friend with a bedbug infestation in his high density apartment complex.  Many of them were coming out of this horrible couch they were sitting on.  I would have tossed that thing to the curb, but they insisted on sitting on it and were, disgustingly enough, allowing themselves to be bitten repeatedly.  I had extra Best Yet with me at the time, which I had been using to kill fleas on my dog.  I soaked the crap out of that couch.  Frankly I think the dollar value of the Best Yet that I sprayed was higher than the couch was worth, but I was trying to find an emotional solution to my friend's problem, and I did think I had extra.  They died, and reports days later were that they did not come back from the couch.  Considering that the couch was like one of those old Creep Show horror movies about the cockroaches coming from everywhere, I think that was an accomplishment.

However, it was not possible for my limited spray to purge their apartment, let alone the building.  I made a serious gain for them that eliminated a big part of their problem immediately, but it would be incorrect to call it a permanent solution.  I think the apartment managers did things to their entire apartment at least 3 more times, including requiring them to sort through all their personal junk, put it in special containers, remove it from the apartment, and other drastic measures.

My experience is that Best Yet has killed every insect I've ever directly sprayed it on.  It has not, however, proven to have any repellent value.  You can kill, but you have to spray again to kill again.

This was always fine until the summer of 2012.  The fleas were so bad that year, that no matter how much I sprayed, I could not keep up with the huge number of fleas in the environment.  The dog goes out the door, he comes back with more fleas *again*.  He got super chewed up and my sprayings could not keep up.  It had worked fine for about 4 years, but not that year.  Many people in my area reported it to be an exceptional year for fleas, due to the very mild winter, and many products didn't seem to work well anymore.  I switched to chemicals, also because the Best Yet was expensive for the small impact it was having.  Various chemicals have proven effective or ineffective in various geographical locations, depending on where we travel to and what the locals have been using before.

I may go back to using Best Yet for flea control at some point, but I'd need to be making more money again.  Also it would need to be a "normal" summer of fleas, like I previously experienced for several years.  AFAIAC it cannot handle an exceptional flea load.  It's just not realistic to keep spraying your dog 24/7.  Maybe I will use it in winter months for "as needed" control and keep the chemicals for the summer.

Also I should note that various relatives *hate* the smell of the stuff, even though I like it just fine.  They moan and groan whenever I use it, to the point of saying I may not use it to such-and-such degree in their houses, try to force me to spray my dog outside, make other strident demands on me, etc.  I push back and generally spray my dog in my own room, because i don't want to waste product on the outdoors when I know I could kill some fleas on the floor with the overspray.  When they're out of town I spray it before they knew what hit them, before they can get back and smell it.  The dog hates the stuff as well.  He kinda runs away and definitely doesn't like it, but he's compliant enough that I can make him do it.  My neighbor's dog is *not* so compliant.  Neighbors try to catch him, and because that dog is more of a headstrong handful, it's just not practical to force him to be sprayed.

I hate chemicals, other people hate smells.  Whaddya gonna do.  I think most people would soak themselves in dioxin if it had a nice fragrance.  People have foolish priorities.

FTC Complaint for Permanent Injunction against CedarCide

Federal Trade Commission, Plaintiff, v. Springtech 77376, LLC, also doing business as Cedarcide.com and
Cedarcidestore.com, Cedarcide Industries, Inc., Chemical Free Solutions, LLC, Cedar Oil Technologies Corp., and Dave Glassel, Defendants

(United States District Court for the Northern District of California, San Francisco Division)

The FTC has filed a case against the above companies/individuals on September 10, 2012 for the following counts:

I: Unsubstantiated Bed Bug Claims
II: False Bed Bug Claims
III: Unsubstantiated Head Lice Claim
IV: False Head Lice Claim
V: False Claims Regarding Defendants' Affiliation with the Federal Government

Given the company's propensity for false advertising claims and blatant lies, it is my personal belief that Dr. Oleg and other personalities promoting CedarCide products are in fact, fictitious personalities invented by Dave Glassel. I am also suspicious of a number of positive online reviews for CedarCide products (including those on this site) which appear to have been written by CedarCide employees posing as satisfied customers.

Regardless of the effectiveness of CedarCide products, I do not encourage anyone to support a company that engages in deceitful behavior that is both immoral and illegal.

CedarCide is Great

AUTHOR: babyboomer1001 - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, March 03, 2013

Obviously, too much ignorance destroys any good product. You ought to know that ticks must be picked off. I can hardly believe anyone would spray them with something and continue to allow them to suck the blood from your pet.  If they are already sucking, their heads are buried in the pet. Cedarcide on their rear ends isn't likely to cause death. Regarding ants, Cedarcide worked for me when a few pieces of dry dog food were left on the floor too long.

I sprayed it all along the wall, where the ants got in but, you just can't stop there. I vacuumed and cleaned the floor. You have to remove the sweetness that attracted the ants in the first place. If you are using it outside, by the road, use Amdro. It is Queen ant food and will kill an entire colony. I regularly spray Cedarcide on my pets (to their skin) and their bedding, after every bath and clipping and once in a while for good measure. It is good stuff and it does work. You didn't waste your money lady, just relax, think about how you are using it, and use it a little differently.

Positive Effects

AUTHOR: Brew - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 10, 2012

Hello All,
I have read and read and read so many reviews on this product "Cedarcide" for bed bugs and i must say that they were both positive and negative.  It was so hard to decide whether it was the real thing or not so i bought it any way.  Here is my story....

My son started this new school which I was sooo happy about.  After a few days he started coming home with bites on his legs then the next week was his arms and legs.  It looked like mosquito or ants bites, sometimes it was so bad it looked almost like he stepped into an ants nest.  I took him to the doctor and of course my worse nightmare and fear in the world...it was bed bug bites.  I was a bit in denial because he was the only person getting bite so i hoped and prayed that nothing was in our home.
Of course i was wrong, when i pulled off his bed sheets they were already in the mattress covers.  I almost had a nervous breakdown, just seeing them.  I cleared out his bed and bagged as much as i could to wash and dry.  checked my bed nothing, thank god my boxing is wrapped in saran wrap.  I immediately took him out of that school.
Eventually, i started getting bites on my arm on my sofa, then it was in my clothes, then i started seeing them walking on my arm in bright lights, which was really odd.
I spent almost $200 in preventative items.  Bought cups for the feet of the bed and sofa, mattress covers, sprays and of course "cedcarcide".
I cleaned and sprayed every other day and I must say, there has not been one single bed bug or bed bug bite since.  I cannot vouch for Cedarcide killing bed bugs because i have not seen any to kill, but i can tel you that i feel so much safer.  My son has not gotten one bite since neither has anyone else.

I wondered if the smell repelled them from the area or whatever, Im just so happy that i bought it.  Needed the cheapest way and fastest shipping so i bought it off Amazon along with the rest of the stuff.  I also keep my beds away from the walls along with other preventative measures which i researched and read.  I check every day in the cups at the foot of the beds and sofas and....NOTHING.

Maybe this does not work for everyone, maybe I did not have alot and managed to have caught it in time before it got out of hand or just maybe Cedarcide worked???

Cedarcide works for me!

AUTHOR: Dr. Bert - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, August 16, 2012

I don't understand why this wouldn't work for others. After all, insects are insects, though there are certainly different subspecies that may be more tolerant to certain chemicals than others.

I have an animal shelter and our experience here is that it's completely effective and feel it is safe. None of the animals has demonstrated any side effects and all continue to be healthy, and I believe happier, because they aren't tortured by infestations of fleas or ticks, or bothered by flies.

Best Yet by Cedarcide is the only product we have found that actually keeps the flies off the dogs' ears. Absolutely nothing else has worked for that problem. Of course, as pointed out earlier, you do have to reapply it pretty regularly to get the desired effects, but the natural aspect of the product is worth the effort, as we don't wish to poison our animals with toxic chemicals.

As for ticks, we have yet to see one live through a spritz of Best Yet. We even took some with us to the vet's office and when a tick was found on a cat, I took the tick off and set it on the metal table, sprayed it, and we all watched as it succumbed to the spray, within minutes. Even the vet was impressed.

I've used Best Yet on moths and wasps also, and found that it's even more effective on them than the smaller insects. Wasps drop out of the air instantly and moths can't fly, dying within moments right where they are.

There must be some variable factor at work here, to explain why this product isn't equally effective for everyone. It works for us, every time. I just wish it smelled better.

I use cedar cide best yet on myself and my dog. And i love the stuff. It keeps fleas and ticks off my dog and keeps mosquitos off of me when I'm at work and home. I also love the fact that it is all nature and has no harmful chemicals. I will continue to buy and use this product. I does not kill bugs and I am looking at the spray bottle right now and does not says that it kills bugs. It is a bug repellant not killer. So it does its job just fine. And if you did your research before buying you would know that.

Cedarcide

AUTHOR: gabbi - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, June 02, 2012

I have used Best Yet in my house to kill house flys and millard moths, which overwhelm my house especially in the fall. I have had great success with this product and like it so much better than the "hardware store" variety of toxic sprays as the smell doesn't give me violent headaches or make me sick to my stomach.

I am actually considering selling this product as I live in "feedlot alley" and flies are a constant problem. I don't however want to sell a disreputable, ineffective product. I don't know if it kills fleas or repels misquitoes or if their other products perform as Cedarcide claims.  I appreciate this site as it has given me pause for thought and instead of "jumping in" I will read some more reviews and try more of their products before investing money and time.

Cedarcide works for me

AUTHOR: Brandon J. Van Every - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, February 02, 2012

I have used CedarCide's "Best Yet" product to control my dog's fleas since 2008.  Generally I spray him whenever he's scratching or biting at himself in a way that suggests fleas.  Often I just spot spray the local area he was chewing and rub it into his fur, so as not to waste the product.  If I think he has a more serious bout of fleas, I spray his entire body.  He doesn't like that but it kills the fleas.  Every once in awhile fleas get a foothold in someone's house, like recently my Dad's beach house that I was visiting a few months ago.  Tons of fleas at the beach.  Then I have used the commercial sprayer that I bought from CedarCide to spray all affected areas.  I've cleared 2 houses and 1 apartment in the past 4 years.  I'm about to add another house to the tally.  I came upon this website while searching for a local supplier of CedarCide, as upon finishing the treatment, I didn't have any product left.

My experience is that CedarCide "Best Yet" is an excellent contact killer.  Any insect that receives a direct blast will die in 90 seconds, including a cockroach.  However, I think it has no repellent value.  I've seen ants walk through areas that I just sprayed, and I didn't find it effective for repelling mosquitoes.  It's not going to clear out a nest of insects hiding in a wall unless you can get the spray directly into the nest in sufficient quantity.  That's hard to do, so if it fails to rid a home of bedbugs or cockroaches, that doesn't shock me.  I did kill a pile of bedbugs in a horrid old couch that a friend of mine was using.  The whole building was infested.  I really soaked that couch, every single surface I could get at, and they didn't see any bedbugs afterwards coming from the couch.  Previously they were getting bit all the time so I'm very confident it worked.  Of course, the bedbugs eventually just come again from somewhere else when the whole building is full of them.  CedarCide "Best Yet" can't repel ongoing armies of bugs.  You have to kill as many as you can in 1 application.  Then when you have more problems, you have to do it again.

Despite having to apply "Best Yet" over and over again, I think it is cost effective compared to the alternatives.  A gallon usually lasts us a year.  It would last longer if those occasional "big" removal jobs didn't come up, which tend to use a whole lot at once.  It isn't toxic like all the other products out there; that's the huge selling point and why I use it.  Also, sometimes fleas develop immunities to the conventional pesticides that everyone else is using.  I have a neighbor who seems to be suffering from that problem; the regular poisons just aren't doing the job anymore, even if she wanted to use them.

Some people find applying the stuff over and over again inconvenient.  But for me personally, non-toxic is a much higher priority, so I just do the work.  I wish it was cheaper and also easier to find at retail, but so far it's the only non-toxic game in town that I know works, so I use it.

I've never relied on Best Yet to control ticks.  I do that the old fashioned way, grooming my dog like a mother ape.  Even if it does kill ticks (I don't know, I imagine it would) I don't particularly want a dead tick hanging in my dog's skin.  Still need to remove them, and grooming is more cost effective than wasting the spray over his entire body.  If I've found a tick, why blast it to kill it?  I'd just pull it off and crush it with a spoon.

RUBBISH TALK FROM TENNESSEE

AUTHOR: Dr. Ben Oldag - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 26, 2011

My name is Dr. Ben Oldag.  I read the report from Tennessee. It is unfortunate that the complaintant must exagerate the reality of the issue.  Nevertheless,CedarCide Industries, like any reputable insect control manufacturer makes no explicit guarantees of performance related to its products. We do not make claims of perpetual bug control. There exists no such magic in the insect control arena. We do however guarantee that CedarCide products will kill the bed bugs, fleas and other insects that directly come in contact with the solution. Thousands of gallons of this solution a day is used by prudent PCO folks and the Hospitality Industry.  CedarCide makes its product available in amounts as small as 4OZ. Customers are welcome to purchase a small amount for trial if they wish.

Cedar Cide Industries does not offer a return policy or money back guarantee on their products. It is impossible for us to go home with every item we sell and subsequently we have no influence on the application procedure used by our customers.

Having said that, CedarCide has been formulating insect control products since 1992.  All of our products are laboratory tested and proven effective prior to being released for sale. I suggest from the test results, CedarCide Products exceed the performance of any parasite control formulation ever invented, enjoying a 100% mortality rate. It was rated the number one insect killer by Iowa State in the rigid testing being performed for the US Army.  Repeat applications are often required when infestations are present or a inadequate treatment of all areas is not administered properly.

Thanks for using CedarCide Products. Thousands of folks successfully use our products and are elated with the results. I will be more than happy to create a dialog with you to help you solve any infestation issue you are experiencing. I have over 50 years of experience in this field.  Rest assured, the BEST YET and PCO Choice is killing the fleas and other insects.
