 Today is my little brother's 18th birthday. I decided that I was going to take my whole family (mother, brother, boyfriend, and friend of brothers) to Cedar Point. I made my reservations online through their website. I was so excited to give my little brother a really fun gift of having fun all day there. To my dismay the weather did not pan out. It is windy and very cold today. I am fully aware that Cedar Point is not allowed to run their coasters when it is windy. Here is the problem I'm having though. After getting up early and being the first ones through the gate (9am) we soon realized that NO rollercoasters were running. We decided to wait until 10 to see if anything would become available to ride. At 10:05am we reached customer service to see if we could either get a refund or if we could get tickets to come back a day when it was nicer out. They told us that if we were to have made it to the office by 10 they would have been able to work with us! So we missed the cut off by 5 minutes. On a normal day I can see this being acceptable. These jokes arent running ANY rollercoasters today!!! How is this fair?! I have been going to cedar point since I was 6 years old... Its been 20 years. After today I will never go back. So very dissapointed.

No Refund Authorize

I would be embarrassed to even post the above post to Ripoff Report. There are signs clearly posted at all gates, as well as a disclaimer on the back of your ticket that clearly states that there are no refunds due to weather.  When you go to an outdoor amusement park you assume the risk that mother nature may not cooperate with your plans. The fact that a CP employee even told you they would have refunded your money if you would have came to them by 10 am is a stretch, in other words, you are making it up. CP employees are absolutely not allowed to offer refunds or rainchecks due to weather. It is a policy that has been in place ever since I can remember. Next time check the local weather report before making the trip.
