Cellar Door Studio - owner Diane Bowen is a con artist. She stole our $900 cash deposit we gave her on the 30th of April for a pair of bookcases we collaborated with her on. She first claimed to "mis place" our information and was not able to schedule a delivery. We scheduled a series of deliveries with her in which did not happen. After the 4th failed delivery we asked for our deposit back in cash. She apologized profusely claiming she had welders out sick, and family emergencies, and lastly a large job that completely tapped her and putting her $58,000 in the hole. I explained that this was not my problem and for her to do the right thing as we have been more than patient and understanding. For three days she promised to bring the deposit and again stood us up. She will not return calls, you cannot leave messages as her mailbox is usually full. She does not respond to emails or even with the threat of a complaint with the BBB. Nothing seems to phase her, as she just continues to lie and steal money from good people.

We are currently taking legal action as she needs to be stopped and the principal behind this is just appalling. She should be embarrassed as I know we are not the only victims here. I am hoping others read this and avoid the headache of doing business with this kind of person. Her shop seemed on the up and up but it is a complete front.
