Diane Bowen (aka Cellar Door Studio  aka L. Stein Co) was the most unprofessional, inept person we dealt with during our entire home remodel. If showing up at your door at 10PM begging for an early deposit because her studio had a 'flood' wasn't a big enough red flag, it was the 'samples' that just never ever seemed to arrive. When we finally gave up on that and moved forward without them (against our better judgement - but she already had our deposit and wasted SO much of our time already).

Big mistake. From that point on it was a never ending stream of last minute excuses and outright lies. From car problems to father in the hospital, the list goes on and on and on. Her stories became so contradictory and ridiculous it was comical.
It was then when we decided to google Diane Bowen and discovered what so many other people have. We are dealing with known scam artist here. She's got people all over town chasing her for money on incomplete orders. We even got personal verification from two separate sources who are attempting to deal with her in court. Apparently she was a no show.

We too have contacted an attorney now and Diane no longer returns phone calls or emails (although that really started a while ago) so it looks like we're just another one her victims.
BEWARE of Cellar Door Co. aka Diane Bowen aka L. Stein!!

After a letter from an attorney - she finally had the door delivered to us - and subbed out the work to hang and finish it to someone else. After MONTHS the door is finally completed.
