"Centennial Buick Pontiac GMC" sold a GM Certified Used Pontiac Grand Prix 2008 model at around 17,000 miles, to my mother in February 2009. Car fax showed that it was a fleet car before, and then bought through auctions by Centennial Buick Pontiac GMC, of Las Vegas. There was no damage indicated on the carfax report. Being GM certified, it was supposed to have undergone a 117 point inspection including body, frame, power train, interior, electrical etc., and a 5 year 100,000 mile power train, and 12 month 12,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.

A couple of months later, side strips from the body started falling off and the rear bumper came loose. Also, my mom noted slight assymetry in the trunk lid. She took it to a GM dealership near her house to get those fixed in May. They checked out the car and ststed that it had extensive body damage and they could not fix it. They advised us to take it back to the original dealership. So we went back to the original dealership and they confirmed the damage and refused to fix it. Instead, they accused my mom of having gotten into an accident, and then having the car fixed on the side. They stated that because of that, they would not honor any further warranties on the car.

I contacted an attorney, but the attorney said that it would be their word against my mom's word and unless there was a way to prove when the repairs were done with precision through a very high level forensic analysis, it would be almost impossible to prove the case against the dealership. I do not even know if such information can be determined with precision forensically with the current technology and how much that would cost. Meanwhile my mom, who is in her 70s, is stuck with a damaged car without any of the promised warranty.

She had always bought Japanese cars before that, and those dealerships had always been nice, and she had no troubles with those cars. She took a gamble on a US car this time, and after such a horrible experience, states that no wonder American Cars are s**t. No wonder GM and Chrysler are bankrupt.

Anybody who reads this, be aware that Centennial Buick Pontiac GMC of Las Vegas are total sleazebags, liars and thieves, and think twice before buying any car, truck or vehicle from them.
