We bought our house from Century 21 Miller & Midyett in Lawrence Kansas, in April 2005. During the 3 months we lived their, my family was ill. My husband suffered memory loss, chronic fatigue, chest pains, pneumonia, bronchitis. I experienced chronic fatigue, chronic sinusitis, sleep disorder, cough, chronic headaches. My daughter developed persistant cough.
It turns out the house has extensive, historical water damage. The basement leaks, and the house is full of 4 types of toxic black mold. The airborne mold spore count per sample was in the MILLIONS! This is the air my family breathed for 3 months.
We had a houseplant in the living room - took only 2 weeks to become completely covered in mold. The seller is a liar and Century 21 won't stand behind the house they sold to us. They didn't mind putting their sign out front or cashing their commission checks....they sent my family an "apology letter". Thanks, that really turns my life around.
