William Thornsberry was the builder, broker and owner of the real estate company I did business with when buying my first new home in Arkansas. I thought he had a name to uphold in Russellville, Arkansas and that even though I didn't know anyone in Arkansas I should be able to trust him.
Not true! I bought a spec house he had built and it was in a rural subdivision that hadn't had a road paved in it. I asked if the road would be paved and he said "Yes, as soon as I get a few more homes built."
My home was only the second of many to be built. So I purchased the home and a couple months later asked him if he had any idea when I could expect a paved subdivision, he said "NEVER,ITS NEVER GOING TO BE PAVED!"
I also had a problem with my yard, it was supposed to have sod 10ft. out all around my home, he failed to comply till 14 months later called a young kid who could get scrap sod and would do the sod job for half the price of a reputable sod farm! I got scrap sod instead of good sod and the ground needed to be prepared before laying it and it wasn't therefore my sod died!
He also was supposed to fix a roof leak and REPLACE NOT REPAIR AS MY CONTRACT STATED, the ceiling where the leak had come through. He refused!

William Thornsberry was the builder and owner of the new home I was buying as well as the broker and owner of the realestate, Century 21, RiverValley realty in which I was using to purchase my home and relocate from Michigan. I was buying a new home he had built in a rural subdivision he owned and the street had not been paved yet. I asked before buying the home when he would pave the streets, he said "As soon as I get a few more homes built" A few months after closing, I asked again when I could expect a paved road in my subdivision, he answered"Never! It will never be paved!!! I went up to the courthouse and looked up his name to see what kind of info I could find on him being from Michigan I didn't know anyone. I was told by the clerk I should have a seat, I would be here awhile!!!! He had several lawsuits filed against him for similar complaints,FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH BUILDER WARRANTY,FAULTY WORKMANSHIP,ECT!!! He was suppose to sod my yard 10 ft. out around the whole house fix a leak in the roof,Replace a ceiling in a bed rm. where the leak had come through and failed to do it all. In fact,refused to do anything. He had my money and didn't care and I wasn't the only one he messed over! Six other people had lawsuits filed against him!! He says "No one has enough money to sue me!!!"
