I have never had a traffic ticket and I was called and said I had a traffic ticket on December 3, 2007 and I was supposed to pay $250.00 for it.
This Occured on March 25, 2008
On March 26, 2008 I got another call and said I had a traffic ticket and I was supposed to pay $350.00

Make them validate the request. This will get rid of the phone calls. Also, call the city or county district attorney and file a complaint on these scum. This may REALLY get rid of these scum.

Traffic tickets don't get turned over to collection agencies.. They get dealt with through the courts. If for example you had an outstanding traffic ticket, the court would just issue a warrant for your arrest. You can verify an outstanding ticket by calling the clerks office where a ticket was suposively written. Chances are this collection agency is fake or doesnt have a business license and is just some fraudster out there trying to make an easy buck. You should report this to the proper authorities.
