We hired Champion via the UHAUL MovingHelp.com site, to load our truck when we moved from CA to AZ recently.

The movers showed up more than 1 hour late (traffic, they texted, but Google Maps showed nothing), and when they got out of their car, a mushroom cloud of pot smoke rolled out with them.

We lived in a two story house and they didn't want to bring the big furniture down from upstairs, they wanted to piddle around with small boxes until we insisted they get the furniture out of the house - we had hired them for three hours, primarily to deal with the large items.

We knew we were going to be tight on space, so we informed them that the truck needed to be packed full, floor to ceiling, and with almost 200 boxes that should not have been a problem.

We watched them as much as possible, but did not watch every item they loaded, since we also had stuff to do (we were leaving for AZ that afternoon, even though they caused us to be delayed), but I guess we should have assigned someone to check every box they put into the truck and see where they were putting it.

When we arrived in AZ the next day, unloading became a nightmare.  They put items clearly marked FRAGILE, TOP LOAD ONLY underneath heavy boxes of books.

Our new washer is terribly scratched, a rolling kitchen island shelf was broken off, and more.

The owner spoke with us on the phone - he literally just kept repeating that his guys were professionals, they all passed drug tests (this I do NOT beieve, especially in California), that we were 3 miles past their 5 star guarantee (but they took the job any way and got travel money as part of the UHAUL process) and plan to do nothing to contribute to fixing the damage.

He's calling himself Doug now (another RipOff complaint says he was called David a couple of years ago, and (((REDACTED))) is still the wife).

Watch out for these guys, I would highly suggest getting day laborers from the Home Depot and taking your chances with them before using Champion Movers from Sacramento.
