Chapman Properties -very morally corrupt Meridian Idaho

Chapman Properties is one of the most morally questionable companies i've ever dealt with. I rented from these people for over 5 years and had multiple times where my mind was blown with how rude and flat out untruthful these people are. The only reasonable person i've ever dealt with from this company is the receptionist.

Instead of calling you and letting you know about any problems that arise, they will personally deliver a notice and charge you $35. Instead of conducting a scheduled inspection at the agreed upon time, they will let themselves in with their key at unexpected times. The male owner even came in when a female tenant was in the shower. They have stopped by my residence in order to tell me to pick up my children's toys from my own yard (that I pay $800 per month to use),  the reason being "it looks like white trash." Mind you, my children were simply eating lunch inside and were planning on returning to the yard afterwards.

Perhaps the most surprising event took place when I had already been living at the property for several years. Very suddenly Chapman Properties notified us that rent was now due on the 1st (instead of the 5th) and that I now owed a $50 late fee for paying on the 5th. I informed PJ Chapman that my lease stated rent would be paid by the 5th of each month and that I would continue to pay on the 5th, as that is my payday at work. I never heard another word about this new "policy." I guess they assumed I would pay them the bogus late fee, no questions asked. I sincerely hope no other tenants fell for that scheme.

Stay clear of this company. If you have any choice in the matter... Do NOT rent from these people, and especially do not trust them to handle your rental property. They are reportedly very difficult to deal with for home owners as well.
