Charter Communications Charter Too incompetent to pick up thier products when services cancelled but billed me for just under $400.00 and threatened to ruin my credit! St. Louis, Missouri

When we had Charter Service, the service itself was good - once we got a working box. If the service was interrupted, they would reimburse for the lost time.
 
However, when we moved, I called and tried to get Charter to pick up the box, modem, remote and wiring. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!! They would promise to send boxes for us to mail the items back to them. Tell us it takes two weeks and one person from Charter said it takes 3-4 weeks. With each phone call, giving our new address to be sure that it is sent correctly for us to return it. At one point when the box did not arrive, I drove all over Riverside, CA per Charter Representatives instructions to three places - ALL WERE VACANT. At one point, I called in and asked for specific directions when the rep was trying to send me to Rancho Cucamonga. She told me that she was in Mexico City. I asked her to Google the address for me and she told me that SHE DID NOT KNOW WHAT GOOGLE WAS!!! This individual works for a company selling IT connections and did not know what Google was!!!
 
I have called and spoke with Charter employees and managers at least 10-15 times, possibly more. Each time the information is taken and each time I am promised they will call or send to retrieve their items. Charter NEVER shows and NOTHING was ever received.
 
Yet, they have the audacity to try to bill me for close to $400.00 for the items and threaten to attach my credit for their incompetence. Finally, calling for a manager - she takes the information (tho in India) and processes the Pickup Service Request, read my address back to me three times and assured me a rep would be there on Sat (today). I requested he call when he was on his way.
 
Ah yes, he called - FROM OUR OLD ADDRESS!! Now, I am ballistic - thoroughly and completely lost it. I yelled at Gabrielle Guarte cursing to pick this shxt up and he refused because "it is not in his area." I literally lost it then and told him to get his F'n Shxt out of my house!!
 
Again I get on the phone with another manager, named Andrew who tried to get the dispatch supervisor Wendy (operator ID: 1DI) who refused to let the outer rep drive.....CATCH THIS....4 MILES FROM HER LOCATION!!!!! Yes, 4 MILES, ONLY FOUR MILES to pick their crap up. This woman should not be a supervisor as she is as incompetent as the field idiot, Gabrielle. FOUR MILES - JUST FOUR MILES for an account that THEY SCREWED UP.
 
Low and behold, now they are making us drive 20 miles to drop their crap off to pick it up. At this point, they owe me $60.00 for wasting my gas to do THEIR JOB.
 
This is what I am doing and for those of you having problems with these obviously lazy and incompetent Charter employees is CALL THE CORPORATE OFFICE AND COMPLAIN ph: 314-288-3150 (in St. Louis, MO) but make the calls, give the rep name and ID # that is jerking you around. If you have a helpful individual, give that person's name for trying to help you.
 
Next FILE WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AGAINST CHARTER.
 
Lastly write in blogs such as: www.rip-offreport.com and 
 
Most of all, word of mouth, tell your friends and family not to use Charter. I have had several drop this week due to knowing what Charter has been doing to our family. DO NOT TAKE IT SITTING DOWN! SPEAK/BLOG OUT!!!
 
Tomorrow my husband is meeting the Charter field rep to pick up their crap between 8-10am, so we will see as I request that he signs stating he received the items and initial by each one on the bill. I also want his truck number and truck license number as I no longer trust Charter Communications.
 
It is sad that a few of these horrible employees and supervisors ruin it for the good people what want to work.
 Charter you need to re-evaluate your business practices and the people you employ. There are many good people who want those jobs and would be excellent at customer service, managing, and field reps - better than most of the individuals you currently employ. Time to clean house, better your service and your reputation!!!

Charter will never clean up their house.

The customer service has been the worst imaginable for years and years. There has been no improvement, ever. There are thousands of complaints filed against this corporation, on every level imaginable.

Don't you get it? they WANT to steal from you. And they WILL.
