Charter One Bank ripoff free checking that lets checks go through with no money in the account Melville New York

My fianc and I signed up for the free checking account through charter one bank and it never turned out to be free checking. It is as we have heard fee checking. After a couple months of doing good with the account the bank caused an overdraft in my account, after forcing me to pay for a canceled check fee when we had free canceled check return. we also recieved a letter from them stating that my supposed frees that were free were going to be adjusted.

They started letting checks clear when there was absolutley no money in the account. And charged me nsf fees and an overdraft fee that recharged every five days. They also sent my name to there attorneys to have them collect the money from me. They aslo make people pay it off more than once. They also have a proven track record of making it so people cannot get a bank account for 15 years. My fianc and I are not happy.
