I signed a 5 year loan with chase. I have had nothing but trouble with them from the beginning. First, apparently after the due date, there is no grace period. A late fee is charged after one day of being late. After a few days, the calls begin...several in one day. Threatening "You must call by certain time or else..." Once you are a few days late, they block your payment so you cannot not make it. They won't accept you payment online (it states payment pending) or on the phone. They want youto send it via western union.

If you area few days late they make it very difficult to make your payment. This is crazy, what kind of company won't accept your money?? It is like they are setting you up for failure. I no longer call them regardless of the reason. They are always condescending and never help. Who are these people?? I refuse to have any contact with them. I will never finance anything again with them and I am telling everyone I can about their practices. They have to be breaking the law. Doesn't anyone care?

At the end of my loan I had one payment remaining. I got a notice that I owed $1650.00 because interest had accumulated. Much more then the $407.09 I was anticipating. I wanted to end my relationship with them so I pinched and borrowed to get them their last payment.So, I sent my last payment of $1655.00 adding a little extra to accomodate for processing time (which a letter stipulated would be 89 cents per day). I overnighted it to the "overnight address" -Chase Auto Finance Payoff Dept B, 14800 Frye Rd 1st floor TX1-300, Fort Worth, Texas 76155. The next day when I tracked the envelope via USPS, it stated that no one was there to receive it.

So I called, when I explained the situation to the rep "Gina" she rudely yelled, "Why would you send something overnight to a P.O. Box?" I repeated myself for the second time and provided her with the above address. She then hung up on me!!! So, I immediately called back and got the same person.She sounded surprised to hear myvoice again.She again asked why I would send an overnight envelope to a P.O. Box...how ignorant. Again, I provided her with the address. She said,"Why did you say it was a P.O. Box before?" Is she kidding me??? I never, ever, said it was a P.O. Box. She then said, "Oh they should get it. Call back in couple days".

I can't believe this. I overnighted it like they requested.According to the post office it arrived around 10:30 am Friday and no one was there to receive it. I am worried about what is going to happen now. My check for is out there and again, they are making it difficult to pay off. They would not accept a direct debit from my checking account they said it had to be mailed. This is so typical of Chase. I am sure the fees are racking up as we speak. As their customers we are slaves to their practices and seem to have no rights.

I have financed a total of 4 cars in my 33 years of life. I have never had to deal with such incompetence and unfair practices before. They harrass you for your money and when you try to give it to them they won't accept it. There has to be something we can do as consumers to proctect others from Chase.
