I have never been unemployed until I turned seventy and was laid off due to the economy down turn. I had never been late on a mortgage payment. I applied to Chase several times for a Loan Modification. I was approved three times (and paid their fees) and was later denied three times (and paid their fees) The last time I was denied (now going on a year) the Chase employee told my attorney I shouldn't have been denied the past two times - - but denial letters came from several different offices who didn't know each other. I began to get on my feet again and asked for a refinance from Chase - remembering that I had always done exactly what they asked me to do - - and paid their fees each time. Garlon M. Ebanks with J P Morgan suggested he could help me if I was able to get a person to deposit $2 million in the J P Morgan private bank. He introduced me to a lady who interviewed me, sent me this:

It was my pleasure speaking with you today. I love New York it is my favorite place. I hope to meet you some day. I will reach out to those I know in the modification department. After the 15th of November please give me call or an email and I will check to see if you qualify for the new programs. Enjoy your time and I will be talking with you in a few weeks. Best Regards, Terry Griggs 239-398-9930

When I emailed her when she had asked, Garlon emailed me that she had left CHASE. He then had Josh Claudio of CHASE Mortgage call me. He asked me what I wanted. I told him I was following up from Terry Griggs email. He proceeded to tell me I had a history of late payments and nothing could be done. I assured him I could prove I was never late - that I always paid two weeks in advance for any amount that was due - always paid their fees promptly. He said I had a history of being late - - and they don't even consider you for Modification unless you've been late. I said, "That's not accurate. They will consider you if you can prove hardship." He then said, "Huh...well you have a history of being late, any way they add it up. I can't help you, sorry can't help you with refinance ."

I then spoke with Garlon M. Ebanks again. I told him what took place. I told him I could prove I was never late and asked him if I should prove it in court to show Josh Claudia of CHASE Mortgage? Then I asked him if it was still true about getting a $2 million deposit in J P Morgan Private banking could help. He said..."No. Now it's $5 million...with $3 million liquid. Sorry can't help you."

I pray for a class action against CHASE and J P Morgan Private Banking. They have a billion dollar profit center baiting people into Home Loan Modifications (with fees) and then charging them penalties and additional fees when they switch and fail them. I can prove it. I applied for a modification for my first mortgage (from CHASE) and my second (from another mortgage company) My second was approved in two weeks. CHASE approved me for more than a year - on three separate occasions and then denied me...fees to them both ways...plus penalties on interest.
