Chase Home Finance Beware of $395 "application fee" through Chase Home Finance Tempe Arizona

BEWARE OF $395 NON REFUNDABLE APPLICATION FEE. I went through Chase Home Finance LLC in order to refinance my existing loan that I had through them. They sent out a young kid to appraise my home early in the month and he told me it would be (2) business days for him to give the appraisal to Chase. Chase called me over a week later and told me to pay the $395 fee so they could begin the paperwork processing. I asked Chase what the house appraised for and they said they didn't know. To make a long story short, after 15 days of waiting around for Chase to get back to me, they called me at the end of the month and told me the house appraised for a lot less than what they estimated it to. They concluded they could not process the loan and I'm out $395. Very unprofessional in my opinion. Two weeks later, I went through a different mortgage company and their appraiser, who had 30+ years expierence, appraised my home at nearly $25K more than Chase. Don't let this happen to you, go with a reputable mortgage company.
