Checkmate Ripped me off for $45.00 fraudulent recurring charges Las Vegas Internet

I was looking for information on my boyfriend on the internet and stumbled into Checkmate.  I thought the site was legimite becasue of the better business bureau symbol on their site i felt no need to look them up. I entered my credit card information through pay pal which is secure.  I though the charge was a one time thing then for the next two months I am charged a recurring charge.  I dont remember my password because I didnt think I would need this site again.  

Although I looked them up this evening and entered the information that I had forgotten my password.  I received an email with password reset informtion althought the site was unavailable and grayed out the only way you could get intouch with this company was by calling.  Once I called I was told that I had signed a document on online that gave them premission to charge my credit card.  Then the fight started.  In the end of was able to get back $22.86 of the $45.72 that was charged to my credit card.  Hopefully the credit will show up in my account in the next 3 - 5 days.
