I would like to file a complaint against Richard Lastinger GAL 3742.  We hired his company to run an estate sale for us the weekend of October 18-19, 2013.  We have a detailed contract that has been breached from Richard and Lynda Lastinger of Cherry Hill Auctions.  

We were supposed to receive 50% proceeds of items sold, as well as a detailed list of each item sold.  We were told that we would receive the money within 3 weeks.  We were also told that we would be receiving $1000.  After multiple calls that go straight to voicemail and texts that go unanswered, we fear that we have been scammed.  When we do get in touch with someone, we are told that they are sick, the check is in the mail, etc.  Now, they simply no longer respond.  They have an F with the Better Business Bureau, and unfortunately, it does not look like we are the first ones to be scammed.  Beware!

From our sale we received nothing but an empty house and empty promises. I cannot believe this company is still in business. Their behavior is of a company about to file bankruptcy in their 'take the money and run' attitude. 
Please check them out online- to include the Atlanta BBB website. 
Has the check really been in the mail for 6 months?
Did it really take 8 people 15 hours to clean a 2500 sq ft house after a sale? Most companies do that as a matter of integrity and consideration but not the Lastingers. They told us to disregard this complaint and we really really really should have taken it to heart. Don't make the same mistake we did by trusting them.

Beware; they will take advantage of you at every opportunity. 

Maybe you wonder why they never answer their phone? If you had outraged clients calling you wanting the money from their estate sales you probably would never answer your phone either. Just call, you'll see what I mean.

But they seem like such nice Christian people. By their acts shall you know them. I have to wonder how people like Richard and Lynda Lastinger from Cherry Hill Estate Sales and Auctions sleep at night.

Our Company and our employees pride our self in helping people in need. No matter what job, large or small we will take on the Challenge. This Client was a challenge... After being rejected by other liquidation companys due to the quality of the contents of the home, and the quality and condition of the home The Cherry Hill team aggreed to take on the challenge. We entered the home with one goal, to liquidate the estate and prepare the home for sale on the market. We were able to take this clients home and turn it into a presentable sale that was successful for both parties. In the proccess of prepairing the sale we deposed of massive ammounts of Underage pornography, asain pornography and other indecient items of like nature in the home. The ammount of items and quality of items to be sold was that of a average yard sale. The client had unreasonable expectations of the value and quality of the contents of the home. Clients are made aware before the signing of any contracts that we do not guarantee any sale numbers or do we provide a set expectation of the proceeds of a sale. We will provide a ball park idea, This sale fell well over the ball park  estimate of proceeds. Cherry Hill is only at fault for a one week delay in getting the client the sale funds. Our owner was in the Hospital with Kidney stones and was not able to process any sales in that time. However the client was in contact on a daily bassis with our estate managers and was made aware of every update to the situation. The client was paid in full for proceeds of his estate within the time stated in the legal binding contract he signed and aggreed to. Only after the client recieved his payment did the name calling, and harrasment of my people and company immage start. Nothing was stolen from this client, no contracts were breached. My company does over 100 estate sale a year.

We have been in business for over 15 years and only have one complaint with the BBB, this mans complaint. This client is lashing out because he is disapointed that his junk did not bring full retail prices. This is the only instance in our 15 year exestance and over 2,000 clients served that we have had this issue. With over 350 Clients served we have a impecable record with our clients and our Customers and a reputation for excelent customer service. We are sorry that you feel you were treated in a way other than professonal. Please contact our staff to resolve the issue. Our record speaks for its self.
